  1. water temp was 68 degrees at 6am and got up to 72 by mid afternoon...fish have been off the beds for 2+ weeks now
  2. went fishing to the secret spot again with my friend and boy did we have a great day...25 fish caught between the two of us...all fish were caught on a 5 inch mission fish in ayu color and a 1/2 oz booyah alton jones a-jig in blue and black with a berkley chigger craw trailer in blue amd black...fish were done spawing and were in the closest deep water near the spawning area...all fish were caught in 8-12 feet of water...pics of the biggest fish caught are below...couldnt break the 5 pound mark but alot of 4+ pounders
  3. i use a 7'0 MH fast action Loomis GL3 with 17# berkely 100% flurocarbon...i wouldnt use any line under 12# when jig fishing as for the hookset...when i feel that tap,tap,tap or any kind of tension on the line i reel in the slack and wham! literally try to rip the fishes lips off..also,when in doubt SET THE HOOK!...if anything feels different set the d**n hook

  7. If I were to harbor a guess I'd say Sylvan Lake. hahahahaha man i wish...i absolutely hate that lake...the bucket brigade kills that lake plus they stock it with trout every year...id rather sit on my butt then fish that lake
  8. i just recently ordered one of these and im waiting for it to come in the mail...caught it on sale for 130...got the 7'6 heavy for pitching cover...just curious if anyone has any of these and what can i expect from the rod...had good reviews on bps

  11. i have a X-tools scale and its accurate as can be...plus it floats and ive never had a fish fall out of the grips
  12. i would go with a Daiwa...they have the best braking systme on the market and you will definitely need that if your just starting out

Gamma Flouro ...tried it for the first time this week...absolutely loved it...i did get one bad birdsnest but it was completely my fault(tried to launch a weightless senko lol)..i used a ton of KVD line conditioner and it has had no memory what so ever...the only downside is its about 28 dollas for 120 yards

  15. Really your pullin in pickrele already? I thought they were pritty much the last in the lake to become active. How big is the lake you are fishing? haddon lake(audubon lake) is a pretty d**n good lake for its size....seen some good sized fish pulled out of there...last year seen about a 6+ lber spawning

  17. dont know much about them...know the technique is for a quiet presentation and bass hiding in cover...got my eye on the zillion flipping stick...any other recommendations???
  18. i have a fuego on my loomis crankbait rod and love it...its great for shallow cranks and if you are fishing deep you just have to remember to SLOW down..if you can do that then you'll love the reel

  22. you can get a quantum swimbait rod and shimano cardiff reel combo at outdoorproshoop.com on sale for 170..the rods usually 170 and the reel 120 so you saving baout 120 bucks
