  1. Looks phenominal. Thanks for the pics.
  2. Man, I'm sorry about that. My stuff is the cheaper stuff that you probably wouldn't want but it gets me by. But, I would be glad to send a donation if that helps. PM me with your address, I'd be glad to help out in any way I can.
  3. Good luck!!! And enjoy!!! Remember, don't beat yourself up, just go fishing!
  4. I've been in several clubs over the years. This coming season, I'm gonna narrow it down to just fishing 2 clubs. To answer your question, you should absolutely join a club. You have to start somewhere. All clubs I've ever been in, everybody would welcome a non-boater. And, in my experience, the guys you meet will be some of the nicest people you will ever meet, and you will learn a lot from them, as they will from you. Good luck, and I hope you get started!!
  5. Good topic, thanks for starting it. 1. Absolutely reading electronics 2. Get further off the bank, fish the deeper water 3. When it comes to tournaments, no more live or die by one bait (usually a french fry when it's tough)
  6. Hey fellas. Can you give me some ideas on what to use on a drop shot? I have used small flukes, very small finesse worms. Very little success, but have caught a few. Any advice on baits to use?? Thank you in advance!
  7. If you're in Springfield anyway, I love Lake Springfield. Stay away from hot ditch in June/July. It has everything, laydowns, rocks, docks, structure, you name it.
  8. Actually, it's a pretty shallow lake. With crankbait it was about 5 feet. With the fluke it was just under surface 1-2 feet. The main channel in the warm arm only runs 12-15 foot deep.
  9. I'm from Illinois. Have been on Sangchris (powerplant lake) a few times in the past month. First couple times I went the plant was pumping so water was in mid to upper 50's, so they were biting real good. Mostly fluke and crankbaits. Last couple times I went, plant was shut down and water had cooled in low to mid 40's. Only caught a couple. Again, fluke and crankbaits.
  10. My buddy and I ice fish a few local farm ponds. It's fun, but I prefer takin the boat to the power plant lakes here in IL.
  11. Another Central Illinoisian here. In the big city of White Hall. Haven't been on in a while. I've fished Yeager a few times. Go through Litchfield frequently to fish a lot of tournaments in Vandalia. Went to Sangchris last Sunday and caught a few on a Shad Rap. Love that crankbait!!!
  12. That's great. Keep that little guy castin. Future bassmaster elite in the making
  13. Ouch!!! I can't tell you what I think, my wife is sitting beside me. But my opinion....Flat out cheating, shouldn't have even netted the fish. Where's the dignity
  14. Welcome aboard!! And keep those pics comin. Appreciated here!!!
  15. When my lure hits the water, I say out loud several times a day, "somethin eat that thing". Whether by myself or with a partner. And I kiss everything big enough to go in the livewell and accompany me to the weigh in
