  1. They market pink fluorocarbon for saltwater.
  2. Now that you have broken the ice it's time to buy a scale. Congrats on your PB's.
  3. I have fished Lake Erie PA waters for about 15 years. Around here guys strive to catch 6lb smallies as a PB or trophy. 6lb-8oz through 6lb-15oz are definitely considered trophy class as to their rarity by the hard core bass fisherman. My consensus is a 6lb smallie from the great lakes is a trophy for most fisherman. 5lb smallies are great fish but just below the trophy classification for the great lakes because of the sheer numbers of them in the system. Smallies above 7lbs are rare as 11lb-12lb largemouth elsewhere.
  4. I caught a smallmouth off a wreck in 50-55 fow. Released it right away & it swam down without any visible problems.
  5. Congrats on your new PB. Don't forget to update your profile PB.
  6. It's called selective memory. All women have it.
  7. Bucks develop a kype when spawning. Hooked jaw like this.

  10. Welcome to BR. Sounds like you enjoy multi species fishing like most of us do.
  11. TW does have some colors https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Megabass_Ito_Shiner_Jerkbaits/descpage-MBISN.html Take a look at GG perch, GLX Galaxy Shiner my two favorites are HT Kossori Shad & Kohoku Reaction
  12. I just sold two of the SJR720 IMX first generation rods. I also had a HSR9000S IMX first generation hotshot spinning rod. It's is 7'-6" mag light extra fast rated for 1/4 oz to 1/2oz. Its is still available in the current imx line. It's a very versatile rod/blank. Have you looked at it? If you want a blank to build on look for a hotshot/steelhead blanks also called a popping blank rod in saltwater lines. Good luck with your search. Those are terrific blanks.
  13. No fluoro is not necessary for jerk baits. I'll use it but it doesn't get me bit more than mono or braid with a mono leader.
  14. I just fish Erie so its impacted by weather/wind more than most others. Great walleye fishery all year. Perch have been very spotty. And most importantly bass fishing has been on a small incline compared to last year. Surface temps at 67.
  15. Erie county PA.
  16. Welcome to BR.

  20. Welcome to BR.
  21. No different than baiting deer or bears. Feed them and they will come.
  22. Impressive. Congrats to you both.
  23. Just bought a bantam mgl from Digitaka.com for $259.83 shipped.
  24. Nobody has ever been disappointed with an Avid that I have ever heard of. They are the bread & butter of the St Croix lineup. Buy it with confidence sight unseen. I have owned at least six of them.
  25. No I haven't fished the 7'-6" model. I have the 7'-3" and have been very happy with it. If you want the 7-6 give Trey Kistler a call & ask his advice. I have talked to him and found him very approachable & willing to share his knowledge of the product. Since the heliums are so light I don't think the 7-6 would be tip heavy compared to the 7-3. Good luck with your quest for "the one".
