  1. id take a hard look at the Slx combo. Great value!
  2. Dobyns Sierra 734/Shimano Slx DC. Mainly jigs and t-rigs. Shimano Slx 6’10 medium/Slx. Jerkbaits. Dobyns fury 733/Tatula. Lipless and squarebills. Abu Vendetta 7’3 mh/fuego. Frogs. megabass Levante/Tatula lt. all around finesse.
  3. He’s not wrong, the best thing you can do is experiment and see what the fish like. If throwing it slow isn’t working then speed up and vice versa.
  4. Thats awesome! What model is it?
  5. Its my weightless plastic rod and treble hook rod.
  6. My slx balances wonderfully with my fury 733, it’s one of my most comfortable combos to fish.
  7. The Shimano Curado 6’10 ml is fantastic for ned rigs if you don’t mind tip heavy rods.
  8. I was in the exact same position as you. I went the with the Tatula and my dad got the K a few weeks later. They both perform great but the K doesn’t do as well with baits under 3/8 oz, it also doesn’t skip baits as well. The K outcasts the Tatula but not by much. After a year of pretty hard use with both the K is still smooth as the day I got it, whilst the Tatula isn’t nearly as smooth. If I had to buy one again I’d definitely go with the K.
  9. Megabass and don’t look back
  10. Stick with daiwa and Shimano. If you intend to throw lighter baits the Daiwa will be better. If you know you won’t go under 3/8 oz then the Curado will be best.
  11. I wear these too, perfect for bank fishing!
  12. Anyone know when Kittery Trading Post will have another sale?
  13. Agreed, it’s just a super comfortable reel to fish all day. I’ll definitely pick up the DC at some point.
  14. I hate that, the other day I wasn’t paying attention and it popped the guide right off the rod next cast.
