Summertime is really starting to heat up down here in SC and it lead me to wonder what everyones favorite warm water lures or soft plastics are. I usually turn to a worm when the bite gets slow but during the summer there is usually a lot of gunk on the bottom. What baits do you use when it starts to get warmer?

I went out yesterday and burned a red RatLTrap to catch 13 decent fish. I like to fish them 2 to 3 but it all depends on the bite.

Motor Oil

I like the Yo Zuri Hydropencil and the Lucky Craft Sammy. They are end lures but they are easier to walk and have better hooks.

What did you catch them on?

I would go with RatlTraps and suspending jerk baits they are killer this time of year.

I have never had a bass hit one of my lures with weeds on it so i try to keep my shallow cranks just above the underwater crap or go topwater.

I have some polarized Costa del Mars and the difference in depth that i can see into the water is definitely noticeable.

Too thick for my blood..
