not exactly from nebraska, family is but i was born 10 miles over the border in ks. most my family is from nebraska city/dunbar area, with a few in papillion.

i know, ive never had a problem with mine (although its only been a year now) and she runs great. i put her through her paces thursday-saturday down on lake dardanelle in about 3-4 waves. she took it alright. the design is solid, and i have friends who run model years ranging from 1985 up to 2005. they love'em! if i recall correctly they were originally designed by earl bentz who then sold it to OMC (i think i actually read that on this forum).

if i recall correctly you only need a premit if money is paid out in kansas....

@ catt, i agree with what you said i dont mind that they switch boat sponsors, i always thought that it was lame how they made the pros fish out of the "official sponsor" of BASS, instead of their own boats. I mean, theyre sponsored by boat companies, and when they're getting air time is when they're promotin the product. id imagine that most sponsors would be upset that the pros werent using the boats that they provided them. personally, i run a stratos ;D, and im fairly suprised that there aren't many pros who run'em. the most notable in my mind is larry nixon, but he fishes the flw. can anyone think of a b.a.s.s. pro running a stratos?

alright, i remember, i think it was hooked up to a newer dodge pickup right? i was in the red stratos with the mariner on the back, i was throwin a crankbait, caught one that went 16 1/4. i just got back from the lake, it was hard fishin today, not a bite.

you are correct ringfry, there was a 3, 4 1/2, and a 5.37. noted temp in my areas, 45-48 at one point. pretty certain the winner was fishing deep trees, but cant say for certain. which boat were you in ringfry?

it held through espn, and fcs has a series too. it colleges holding invitational tourneys, and then there are two national championships, the smash mouth series is held in pine bluff, ar and the fcs series is held on lake lewisville, tx. Check out collegebass.com, it has quite a bit of info.

im 22, and fish competitively on two/three tourney series. granted they arent the big names, like flw or bass, just the ABA and the college smash mouth series. there are currently two views on sponsors i have, with the first being in relation to other colleges. schools like atu, eku, ou, vt, etc.; they all have sponsors, or atleast have their patches on their jerseys. those of us who dont seem to get looked down upon, and thats just not right (goes back to a status symbol). second, i work hard, and that money goes to my rent, truck payments, boat payments, expenses, etc. sponsorships are more of a discount/free product in return for me doin well and pushing the product. with tournament costs goin up as well as gas, any help i can get when it comes to the fishing essentials, i all for it.

@ w4svc - yes, i have fished brown co. a few times in my life, but the last time i was there, it seemed to be down alot from what it was in years past, and i couldnt get any hits except for on the lilly pads on the northwest side of lake. @ringfry - will do sometime do you fish the thursday nite jackpots on bone? if you do, they start up again this week, and i think i heard were goin to 194? (7:40 something).

howdy, currently reside in pittsburg, however i originally hail from hiawatha. favorite lakes to include bone creek, and lake dardanelle. i'm a collegiate angler representin pitt state university. i only get to fish in kansas for another 4 months or so then i head to lawton, ok. its nice to meet yall
