  1. Im a newbie and this trip sounds great. Will there be more info posted thru the year about this trip? I live in the Memphis area and I have been told that its a great lake. Is there anything I need to do to be able to attend? Any info would help, Remember Im new.
  2. The Bass Pros,, KVD does a great job!!! WGFS is just a good show!
  3. Try a topwater in the morning, or late in the afternoon. Next try a fluke or a shallow crankbait and spinnerbait. Keep trying, if it has fish in it something should work.
  4. Watch the right TV shows, read all the articles you can, and keep fishing. It will come with time, you will get the feel for it..
  5. Its not a big deal as long as you keep the young fish around 2 pounds, and only keep enough for dinner. If to many people keep the big females it will take away from the spring spawn. I let all my bass go! If I catch one worth mounting I take some pics and measure the length and the girth. They can really match your fish when they make your mount!! All the lakes in my area get alot of pressure. Catch and release when you can please!! 8-)
  6. Im new to this forum so if this is an old question Im sorry!! I just want to know what fellow bass nuts think about this line. I still like mono Im old fashion (41 years old) That stuff is big $$$$ :-/
  7. Its all about how you were raised as a kid!! The people that cut you off and get in front of you are people who dont get the whole bass fishing deal. I dont do it and I would like others to do the same!!!! >
  8. Well that is a fun question, alot of things come to mind. If available get a lake map it will show you all the depths. Look at the contour of the shore line, find some structure like standing timber or weed line, and always have a good pair of polorized sun glasses. If the water is clear enough you can see alot of your points as they go out from the shore line. If you are at a lake with other people fishing just ask someone. you should get some help.
  9. Some times big fish will just inhale it and the line just moves and the feeling of the worm is gone!!! SET THE HOOK HARD,, CROSS HER EYES !!!!! >
  10. Nice stick in a box!!!!! 8-)
  11. I left FLA because of work!!! and alot more $$$ This area is great and FLA was great. Both areas have great fishing. Tn seems to have more areas to fish different stuff.. All I know is I love to BASS FISH!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Hello fellow bass nuts! Im a Fla boy now fishing in West TN. I moved here 10 years ago and stoped fishing for some time. Now I have the Bass bug more then ever!! I didnt think fishing in this area would be this good, I WAS WRONG! I purchased a Ranger 461vs and I cant stop fishing. I have fished all winter, and it has been great. The only thing I need is time to learn and change my ways. FLA fishing was a little different!! 20 years of fishing down in south Fla helps but you should always learn and thats what makes it fun!! Im new to this site and I think its great!! Thanks for all the info! ;D
