Hello all. I thought it would be fun to have a fish across america thing going on here. The deal is that we have someone from everystate catch and get a picture of a bass they catch in the time period. Our goal is to catch 50 bass (or however many people help out, two for each state would be nice!) by May 30th. That gives us alot of time. We dont need every state to help, just as many as we can. Ill probably remove Alaska and Hawaii (unless I find someone on rcgroups or something) Anyone up for it? Reply if youd like to help and what state. Everyones counting on you!! Haha, no. Everyone goes and fishes where ever they want to. (freshwater though) and takes a picture of what they caught. Dont ask about cheating because I have already covered that.

Heck, why not balsa wood pens? I was thinking about that but balsa is WAY to soft. It would crack and split and isnt hard enough for a pen.

Thanks, they are very hard but very fun to make It was sitting on my bed with the cat above the pens so the pen was tilted alittle so yes it does look bent but its not. My dad got me into it.

Yea, that seems nice. I like the pictures of the crappies when they are laying down. I dont like the size of their mouth! But still a very cool fish!

Ok here are some pictures on them. The 2 colored one was my first pen, the wood one is my second. It takes about 45min each. Selling might come soon. My dads going to make a website for it if he does deside to start selling. These small, they are called slender, pens reach about 30 bucks. The "cigar" pens reach about 60 bucks.

My dad just got done teaching my how to make pens (spinning them on a lathe) like 5 days ago. Ive made 2 so far. Ill post pics in a few.

I understand that and thats why it is kind of nice to live in MN. We got many months with ice and cant wait to get out on the lake.
