  1. Table Rock is a mess. Water is so high we can't even get to our dock. the ramp is 5 feet under water! But I hear guys are getting good spinnerbait bites. Good Luck.
  2. I'd go with a topwater frog like the Spro Bronzeye. They are made for exactly this purpose and will catch lunkers. Good luck!
  3. I would try the Zoom Super Fluke in Baby Bass color. A great lure that has always worked well in the little pond by my house.
  4. I just bought this bait and was interested on how any of you rig it. Any description would be appreciated. What type of jig if use jig with it and how to hook it (Sorry, I'm really a newbie) Thanks guys!
  5. Sorry for another question about a bait, but I've been searching through BPS during this Fishing Classic and seeing some stuff that looks interesting. Any opinions or comments about the Mimic Minnow? Thanks.
  6. Alright well I'm interested. I would like to be put in for the tourney and will be bringing my buddy with me. Getting excited already! EDIT: I know there are boats to rent at Little Dixie, but I don't have a trolling motor. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  7. I searched but couldn't find the original thread. Could possibly be deleted since it was last year. If anyone has link or other information about Little Dixie it would be appreciated.

I don't know if you mean the hollow-bodied frogs or the buzzing type, but it doesn't matter. I've frequently fished water ranging from about 5-40,000 acres and the same lures work in small water that work in large water and vice versa. Choose lures based on the many conditions you're faced with, not how many acres the water covers. Thanks. I just started fishing small lakes so I'm not sure how to fish them. That's good to know.

Thanks for the advice! When would recommend to start throwing it (what time of year)? BTW The Bass Pro (by me at least) has a sale on the Spro Frogs right now.

The Fishing Classic is their biggest fishing sale of the year. It runs from Feb. 29-Mar. 16. The specials vary from store to store and week to week. Great time to get some really afforable fishing gear!

I fish mostly small lakes in MO and Table Rock when i can. Are frogs effective on small lakes and under what conditions? Thanks for the help.

I have only fished it with simply a wide gap hook, no weight. Works great, great action. Work it just like a jerkbait. Two or three jerk cadence, let it sit 5-15 seconds (if colder pause longer) and repeat.
  14. I will second Bill Beck. He is a personal friend of my dad's and we go out on Table Rock with him all the time. Great guide. Has been fishing Table all his life. Highly recommended.
  15. Hey All, I just signed up for this forum. Looks Great. I am living in Columbia and just fished Little Dixie today. I would love to get involved with the tourney. Also have a question. Any advice for fishing Little Dixie? Have ony been a few times with no success. Thanks and love the forum!
