Baby bass?

Featured Replies

I'd say #20.....

if you're fishing below a nuclear powerplant that's dumping toxic waste.

I agree, none of them looks like a baby bass.  If you're looking to imitate a baby bass, I'd look elsewhere.  There are tons of crankbait and jerkbait patterns with different manufacturers that are actually called "Baby Bass".  That's where I'd look.

none of those do... but i know storm makes a baby bass color so if you look around you can probably find them

not a single one of those looks like a baby bass. sorry.

you can find some MUCH better baby bass swimbaits out there.

but if you have your heart set on a storm wildeye swim shad, then try the suspending version, it comes in a baby bass color: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_44457_100007007_100000000_100007000_100-7-7

I don't think of them look like a baby bass.  I have tried some of these and have had zero luck.  Not one single fish or bite.  I would take a look at the stuff from Reaction Strike.  They have some great patterns and some well made baits.

i think the name implies that they are trying to imitate shad.  they all have good colors for imitating shad but none really look like baby bass.  there are some others out there you just need to look a little harder on bps.   i did not look at the other link so that might be a better choice.  it seems to me that most of the pros i see are trying to imitate the shad where they fish, is there any reason you are trying to imitate baby bass.

Mattlures makes the best Baby Bass swimbait i've seen.

NUFF SAID !

I would try the Zoom Super Fluke in Baby Bass color. A great lure that has always worked well in the little pond by my house.

Get number 7 and use a Sharpie Magic Marker to draw a few bass like stripes/dots down the middle.

Otherwise, like somebody else said, Storm has a couple of other patterns that look more bass-like than what BPS is displaying...
