  2. That's terrible dude. lol I know, it seemed like a good idea at the time though. I really don't know if they left because of that or if they just decided not to nest there anymore for another reason though
  3. If you go straight on 981 about thirty to forty minutes, if you want to go sometime just send me a pm and I'll meet you in latrobe somewhere
  4. X2 I couldnt have said it better lol
  5. Great fish!! No wonder you had to squat to hold it up, I think that fish is bigger than you are lol. You need to go to mcdonalds and get some supersized meals lmao
  6. If you said you had HUGE hands I'd believe it was 12 lbs lol. Great fish though Congrats!
  7. Tie on a 3/0 widegap and put a 1/4 ounce wieght in front of it. Then cast it over one of the ducks and set the hook. Not only will it give them a reminder to stay out of your pool but it will make for an interesting fight if you play it out right. I did this once with a goose that nested too close to my buddys house. I had my drag set too high and it broke me off pretty quick but it was interesting for all of 30 secs. They stayed at their nest until the gooselings hatched but as soon as they hatched those geese never came back to that spot, they kept their distance, and didnt hiss at us anymore lol.
  8. I bet he got a text message just as he was trying to land and he just HAD to respond to it
  9. lol i went for two hours after work and another hour after the club meeting to trauger, its a pond maintained by trout fisherman who stock it once yearly for trout. Other than the first couple weekends of trout season I pretty much have the lake to myself. The lake is filled with weedbeds, literally the whole thing is weeds besides in early spring where you can actually fish the wood in prespawn. The majority of the fish in the lake are from 12-14 inches and I know for a fact theres atleast two seperate 6-8lbers in there and I know I've caught a couple 4 lbers. Rarely you catch a fish over 14 inches though. But anyway I caught 31 in those two hours with a wacky worm and chartuese spinnerbait and I went back for an hour later after the club meeting with just the same spinnerbait and caught 16 more.
  10. I got caught in one of those descisions one time and the cop ended up pulling me over. I'm 95% sure it was still yellow when I went through but he pulled me over and took a look at my liscense and registration. Then he handed them back to me and said not to worry about it. We then got into a ten minute conversation lol. I think he was just bored and decided to pull somebody over, that happens in a town as small as mine lmao
  11. Go to verizon, lol the only problems I've had with their phones is that they don't work after they've been in the water 8-)
  12. NICE!! haha LMAO!!! lol thats facebook/myspace worthy
  13. GO PENS!!! lol I can say that 500 times and it will never get old
  14. Idk about you but I'll take trial and error over not catching fish anyway anyday lol. If that makes any sense at all anyway ;D
  15. If the cyprus trees aren't too deep you could try using a shallow running crank or a spinnerbait to cover water faster or flip and pitch to the trees. Just an idea but you probably thought of those already, thats like bassin 101 lol
  16. Welcome back! I hope you catch a ten pounder during your break! Post some pics of whatever you catch!
  17. I caught 47 today at a local pond
  18. Um... not lieing It only happened once, usually they fall off after 6-7 fish
  19. I fish trauger, lago de vida, and my buddies pond for pond fishin and I fish loyalhanna, yough, the rivers, and raystown alot with my boat. Thee loyalhanna creek is also a favorite place of mine to fish
  20. My Senior pic is my avatar but heres me at a tourny last year, I'm on the left
  21. I don'senkos for my wacky rigs, I use zoom trick worms. They last alot longer without tearing, I think one day I counted catching 26 fish on one worm. The trick is to move the hook around in the bait so it doesn't rip chunks out of the worm. I use a 1-1/0 gamagatsu octopus style hook, they have alot better hookset ratio and they fall a tad bit slower, I've also been known to use dropshot hooks as well.
  22. Sometimes I throw them at bridge pilings in 30 ft of water. They still work as long as you're patient. No rule of thumb really, trust your instincts
  23. I agree with fishfordollars. I try my best to help my coangler out, but if I spent days prefishing and I found the beds I wouldnt let the coangler give it a shot unless there are extenuating circumstances on the last day of the tournament. JMO.
  24. I wouldn't recomend this. Your crankbait will chip and it wont bring em in. HAHAHAHAH!!! Your kidding right! Daiwa: If it didn't catch fish, I wouldn't have posted it. Yeah, your crankbait MAY chip, but thats what you get when you go fishing. Also, I reccomend you catching up on your "City Limits" show, becuase this technique is specifically mentioned in it. Also, I had a similair question as kimble a while ago. I e-mailed Tommy Biffle and he suggested this technique. * Tommy Biffle was also on " A Day on the Lake" not too long ago, and this technique was used yet again. OK, I'm done. Seriously its a proven technique... I do the same thing with jerkbaits. You WANT your crankbait to hit something on the retrieve and cause a reaction strike. On another note : The river, alyout of the river, and whats in the river would help alot. And trolling is illegal in most tournaments, I have no clue if the tournaments youre fishing allow it or not I'd ask the tournament director before you try it.
  25. Keep going guys... I'm takin notes for next semester ;D
