Yes we did see quite a few Gar and Drum, even Alligators. We had 60 fish days so I quess they swim faster.

Choke Canyon Trip
Best for last, Old Cranky and his PB 9lb 1oz, Chrales is holding up three fingers because Old Cranky lost three others on this spot, one definitely bigger. These bass loved to jump, tough keeping hooked with treble type baits.

Choke Canyon Trip
Old Cranky and I just returned from Choke Canyon. No Share Lunker but 30 lb bags everyday. Here is a few photos. Old Cranky' largest was 9lb 1oz, my largest was 6lb 8oz. Old Cranky got his PB, I missed mine by 7oz. Great Trip, our guide Charles Whited did a great job. He holds the bag record for a tournament on Choke Canyon with a 9lb 4oz average.

Power Tackle Rods
Has anyone tried these rods in particular the Paragon series. I just got back from fishing Choke Canyon and our quide Charles Whited uses these rods and sells them as a Pro Staff member. After using them I just had to buy one from Charles. These rods are great! Super sensitive, great grip and loads up good to cast 1/8 oz weight in a MH Mod Fast. Just unbelieveable so I had to share. Check out the link to their website. http://www.powertackle.com/Paragon-Series/View-all-products.html

Out with the old, in with the new
Way to go Jim, that was bad news at Kentucky Lake. The new boat will give you a reason to get out on St. Clair, good fishing.

Great fish Dad, I am going to have to put the spiinerbait to use Saturday.- anyone tried the flick shake worms n wacky jighead
I have used both and caught fish. The plastic is not at all durable though. One worm will not last more then one fish. That said I would say they are overpriced.- What application could I use a Shimano Compre 7'ML BC rod for?
I would think Either the Curado or Fuego. By my experience the President is not too friendly with light baits.- Kentucky lake?
http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?virboard=Northeast;num=1206760719 Check the Roadtrip thread there is a lot of useful information.- Ever have one of those days???
Awesome, simply awesome. Great job on using your gear, even with the right tackle a Musky that size is hard to control. IMHO that is what is so awesome using the gear to control a monster like that, not everyone can do it. Great JOB Jimzee!- back around (thanks for the pm's)
Sorry to hear that. Glad your doing better.- Best Daiwa Baitcaster for < $150?
X2 but the Prodigy is a fine reel also. I have both and am satisfied with them.- Fishing At It's Best
I guess they kind of got wet for nothing but I would not have taken a chance. You suppose they went and had a beer?- Susan Boyle
