  1. Do not get me wrong I have fished it that time of year. Find cooler water whatever it is and you will catch them. Normally the coves are cooler so you need to be in a boat.
  2. It would be better if you went sooner. This is a cooling lake and the warm arm will be pretty hot by then. Keep in mind they have a 25HP limit on the lake. Stay in the cooler arms and you may do quite well.
  3. Wayne, you want I stop and pick up all the dead possums along I-81 and 40? I can get you at least 30 rabbits between now and Friday. The more the merrier. I gotta tell you that I have been carrying a shovel and garbage bags around for the last three months collecting "dinner"; business has been good. Never ate possum, any good? ::
  4. Yep spring can be unpredictable.
  5. Storm Wiggle Wart- Shad Senko- Green Pumpkin Mann's -1 Baby Bass Megastrike Bottle of Crown Royal
  6. Have you tried casting one. I would think a frog might weight about 5/16 oz. Might not be a problem as long as you let the bass have the bait before you set the hook.
  7. YES, my favorite presentation, hold on!
  8. It's Monday, now I am excited, see everyone on Saturday.
  9. Good thing you live in a small town, try doing that in Chicago, oh son. That's why I just park and space out. Not getting old just enjoying life more.
  10. Boy that's strange, let us know what you find out. What manufacturer of braid are you using, I use Power Pro.
  11. Is the line braking at the knot (Palomar?)? Also what size braid are you using? I use 30-50 lb braid and have not experienced breaking and I use the heck out of Megastrike.
  12. I have had great difficulty getting a uni knot to hold with Crystal, just too slick I think. Knots Hold about 50% of the time.
  13. Speak for yourself. Of course I am, but maybe you might consider this.
  14. Yes , it would be more of a function of the rod for the particular application.
  15. Prior to this design I hated using spinnerbaits. Had Bass throw the bait. I love them and now use all types.
  16. Or was he true to himself, we all deep down wish we could be this way. I personally want to fish everyday.
  17. Uhhhh ......... why so few pounds ? :-? Because I am sure he will want me to carry the other 100lbs.
  18. Planning a trip the first week of May to Choke Canyon. We are looking into being guided by Charles Whited, Barefoot Guide Service. I am sure he will have plenty of tips for us but I was wondering what any of the locals guys might add. Flying in from the Chicagoland Area and hope to travel light so we only want to bring what is necessary. Any ideas?
  19. If I break dance in the front of the boat someone is going off the back, hold on Ken. I want my PB, with no J.
  20. You might want to consider the 35 Supreme at $ 99.00. It is a bit lighter. The Sahara is alos a good reel. I can not speak for the President.
  21. I have had some luck with a X-Rap in 42-48 degree water. I would give that a try. Hold a bit between jerks they still will not be very active at that temperature.
  22. For a small fee Tackle Warehouse has a demo program. www.***.com This program is for Daiwa reels and will allow you to test up to four reels at a time. We have all made the mistake of buying a reel and selling to try another at a loss. This is a way to minimize your loss.
  23. I would throw at that area for at least 4 hours, take a nap and throw another 4 hours, SWEET!
