Does anyone use Trilene 100% flouro
I use it for T Rigging in junk. Does not cast well for crankbaiting for which I like a bit of stretch in my line. 8 lb you may want to use on a spinning outfit with plastics. IMHO

Does anyone use Trilene 100% flouro
Where did you get it for $9? Usually $20 but at any price I think it is the best that I have used in my limited experience. At $9 my experience will broaden.

Got the Bad news on my casting shoulder from the doctor
Muddy, I too have bad shoulders old football injurgies, played large but was small. I had my left one reconstructed. I cast right handed but at times that one flares up. You need to modify your casting style. I have learned to cast with both arms and at times I will cast underhand if needed. Downsize baits when needed. Keep the faith Bro doing what you love tends to help to manage the pain. Wish you well Bro, you beat worst in the past ie that weight loss.

Big Thaw in Chi- Town
Yeah I know what you mean, just when the Jockeys are broken in I find new ones in the drawer. I learned to hide the broken in ones. Something about broken Jockeys and 12 hours on the water, it just goes together like cold and beer.

Big Thaw in Chi- Town
I'll snoop around everything old gets whiskers, even frogs. You never know. Does it have to be Rosies or will a Legends do? Elaine probably decomissioned due to poor fit up. My wife tends to do tahat even though I swear cotton expands.

no specific reel brand
I also use a variety of reels Shimano, Daiwa, Abu Garcia Plueger and Quantum. I do prefer Shimano and Daiwa. As far as rods, I use St Croix, G Loomis, Daiwa, Shimano, Fenwick, Airrus and Dobyns. I prefer G Loomis, St Croix and Fenwick. Sometimes you just have to try a variety before you decide what suits your needs best.

using clips
I also use clips for crankbaits and minnow baits. I never had a problem with them. With some lures they appear to enhance the action. IE side to side wobble.

do floating docks hold bass?
Have to disagree with Catt on this. My home lake is a dishpan shaped natural lake. The shoreline is sand and tapers slowly from zero to about 5-6 feet where weeds start to grow. Bass tend to cruise the shoreline as there is an abundance of bluegills feeding on minnows etc. I've caught some of my biggest bass under a dock with no other cover within 50 yards of it, except the weedline out in front of it. My theory is the bass do laps around the lake which is not very big, and stop under the docks to catch their breath. I say any dock is worth a few casts unless you can see that there's nothing lurking under it. A boat tied up to it doubles your odds. That being said it's always a good idea to check the surrounding cover and pick the best area. On My lake I can fish around the whole shoreline 2 or 3 times in a day. On bigger lakes and reservoirs, you have to choose wisely and that is where what Catt says makes sense, don't pick an ares with only one dock. I also agree, this comes into play even more on the pressurized lake we have to fish in our area. This is a great holding and ambush point.

Big crappie
Not around here. Northern Mississippi, just south of Memphis, produces the biggest crappie in the world. There is a feature article in this month's In-Fisherman magazine about the four lakes. 4+ is not common, but many are caught every year. What I find amazing is that they can grow so big when almost all fish caught are harvested. 8-) Yes that area is known as the Arc. Up north we do not see that many big crappies. Big difference in length of the growing season.
