  1. has anyone ever heard of a 10 ' plastic flatbottom boat made by Johnson enterprises? can't seam to find any info and someone in my area has one up for sale for 75 bucks.
  2. I got them nice set up and my boat is 42 inches wide at the bottom i went and measured it just now. The length i am un sure of as it is frozen to the ground but it is def smaller then a 12 so I am gunna have to say 10 or 11 max probably. I could have sworen that it was 11 , 6 when we measured it when I got it but ill check tomorrow or the next day as we are getting rain and should melt all this white stuff and ice.
  3. Any one know of any tournys in the London Ontario, Canada and surrounding areas like kincarden, owen sound, windsor, ect. Nothing too too big as I only have a 12' Jon boat with a 2.5 johnson.
  4. those pictures are really small.....any way you can e-mail them to me?
  5. ok well i am going to bed i will be on tomorrow. might have a few questions and will get the exact measurments of my boat.
  6. ok thanks, and if the door trim he is talking about it what I am think it is, places like canadian tire, battery supply, other automotive places that carry parts and such ask for door trim.
  7. ok, thanks you have been a big help, let me know when you get the tutorial done id much like to see.
  8. ok..might sell my motor then...I also don't know my boat licence so i can run an electric without one i beleive so might end up doing that. can you go into a bitmore detail on how to install the seats like that..i really like them. you did an awsome job on your boat...im jelous.
  9. what in your opinion is best.... 2.5 hp johnson or a 55 minkotta?
  10. also what size trolling motor is on your buddies? and how does it work? thinking of selling the gas motor and go electric.
  11. yeah I would say it is about the same as that. for hte seat poles do oyu just screw them into the seat or is there a certain way you would recomend me doing it?
  12. how did you do all that? just make some plywood like mini boxes and carpet them or did you screw them in somehow?
  13. Thats one nice boat you have got there hmmm It looks bigger then mine. unless it is the thing at the front that is throwing my eye out of wack.
  14. ok, I bought it becasue I thought it would be more stable and space then my canoe that I was so nervous losing all my gear in.
  15. how did you deck it? and since itis a 12 will it be a lot more stable now? lol
  16. its 11' 6" front to back. but 10 ' from the back to where hte little front cover thing comes over top at the front. is it 12 or 10?
  17. In ontario do you need a boat licence for an electric trolling motor?
  18. ok thanks for the info...now just need all the ice to melt so I can get out.
  19. ok well i am only 125 lbs, and mine is 42 " at the bottom.
  20. its got to be more stable for fishing then my canoe was?
  21. thanks for the input...when out boat and fishing show was on in town there was a store that was go out of business and was clearing buzz and spinners out at .25 - $1 each so I have tons of them.
  22. we know the guy we bought it from and wouldn't say that to sell it seeing on how I only paid 100 for it and it is in good condition ill take some pics when it warms up. not sure what I will do maybe wait and go out as it is now and see what it is like. on alot of the fishing shows like WFN and stuff there is a lot of jon boats 10-14' and they are standing moving around and everything so I don't really know what to think.
  23. oh and the motor only weights 27 pounds. less then a battery and trolling motor.
  24. hmmm.... because the person I bought it from said they stood all the time in it and it was stable. and I was in a 12 foot last year with a 9.9 on it and it was more stable then an aluminum v-haul.
  25. I bought this about 2 months ago watiing for the rest of the snow and ice to melt to get out on to the lake here. Fanshwe lake is quite a calm lake with alot of canoes, inflatable, pedal boats, and aluminum boats. Wondering what people think of the jon boats and how it compares to a 15 foot flat bottom fiberglass canoe stability, and manoverablity. also think it will be stable enough to stand and fish with say 125 pound person?
