The saros 2500 and 3000 are the same only different spool size, spools and handles are interchangeable. My saros's have been used for everything, bass, grouper, snapper, snook etc. Things are tanks.

very true, caught my first swimbait fish two weeks ago and am hooked. Had a tournament and all my outfits had swimbaits tied on, something I've never done before.

Gear doesn't make you a fisherman. Bass cannot tell the difference between an $800 outfit and a $300 outfit.
