Howdy guys and gals. Awhile back a member posted up about putting your State of residence in your profile. This is just a reminder for the ones that havent done this. IMO it helps me maybe others fill in on patterns and times of year results. For example if somone is having great luck on a crank in texas in march somone in MI may not even be able to use it. I think it could benifit alot of us as anglers.

I think its both. Its got great action and I like to get them down in the rocks bumping across a point or creek channel. The only thing I dont like about them is its like hauling a boot through the water.

I've never fished the rods you have mentioned but I do own these BCR853, 854, 855 These are the 7'1" series and the 854 is by far the finest rod I've ever thrown for jigs. Especially 3/8-1/2. I think the rod was designed for that. I've also thrown MBR's in glx's so I'm not compairing a zebco 33 to a glx.

Some great opinions guys. I know that I left the question very vague. that was on purpose. I wanted more opinions. Looks like there will be a jerkbait rod and crankin rod in the boat saturday. Especially with this nice warm front thats here all week and weekend.

Here we go guys. Here is how Whittler and I would like this to go. Limit it this time to the first 20 or we reach the date of Friday March 16 people who want to join in. On March 19th-20th Whittler or I will draw names. We draw 2 at a time and those are our pairings. After the pairs are selected we will list the pairs and let them contact each other via pm on the site to exchange name and address. We have set the limit at $10. The trade is for any homemade baits, cranks, plastics, spinnerbaits, or jigs etc. Glenn has given us permission to use the board but just as a notice. BassResource.com does not verify or screen any individuals, so any transactions they participate in, they do so at their own risk. I dont believe we will have a problem just wanted to make this known and be honest with all that get involved. Remember lets have fun with this. I think this will be cool to see what all we get. Just a notice to all. Some of the volunteers will be at Lake Fork during some of or all of this trade so it may delay their shipment out. I do just ask that if someone signs up that will be at Lake Fork please let us know so we can allow additional shipping/making time if necessary.

what did you not like about them? The black came off quickly, exsposing the what looked like aberdeen hook wire like a crappie hook. the point well if there was one didnt last at all would just fold over after a couple fish the eyelet wasnt very nice or always closed IMO, spend a few more bucks and get a better hook. Its one of the most important parts of the setup that is most times skimped on.

Here we go again. : All the shippers have accedents. Humans make mistakes. We all do. Thats why we need to package stuff like its going to be run over and insure it for replacement price. It is unfortunate he got his rods broke, really sucks. But any shipper can do the same thing to any package. As the old bumper sticker says "***** Happens." I wish life was perfect.

I think I remember that one. Probably mad because I tried other ways and it didnt work. I will have to give it another goaround. The 2nd time on the rubber worked great.

I've tried them and didnt like them at all. I dont like to make negative comments but I ended up throwing them all away. Check stamina tackle for quality bulk hooks you might beable to get them cheaper then bps

Main reason for asking is I have some left over from my spinning reel. Works fine for that, just got to pay attention or its not going to be pretty. Taking Naturals post and RW's post and putting + and - together this is what I was thinking. 8lb yo zuri is kinda thick but it shouls be close to 10 I would think in diameter. The 13lb break point would be nice because where I'm going to be is woody, real woody. But I cant go up in lb line or I will lose depth. Major perdicument here. I might have to just give it a whirl and take an extra reel. BTW Roadwarrior That is what got me into this perdicument. I'm about to get rid of all of my rogues because of this. A little wind plus rogue= backlash. Those xraps cast into the wind soooo much better. Same with LC, guess I will have to break down and buy couple on sale.I've tried the spinning reel for jerkbaits before. To take words from Muddy. I look like a MOOK out there fishing with 2 left hands.

I've actually poured me some senko style baits with just a tad of salt for this very reason. I want that tail floating as high as I can get it. If I had some floating plastic I would use that. This is where pouring your own is a big benifit. Lets just hope it works.

i'm using a TDX and a 6'6" med imx for jerkbaits. With my recent accedent I need to change line. Just wondering if anyone has thrown this line for jerkbaits. I typically use 10lb flouro but I dont know if my line will be here by the weekend. With RW talking alot about the lb break point of this it might work better then regular 10 flouro. Any thoughts?

I bought some 22ga wire from radioshack saturday. It works great. I'll have to get some pics. I just followed jigmans instructions. Now if I can figure out how to wire tie a silicon pad. HMMM???
