small inflatable boat for college
A new one has a nice price tag. They come in 8ft - 14ft. I got my off of Craigslist for $200.00. They are worth the money. Very sturdy and well made. You can hit rocks and won't rip a hole or dent it. Only takes 4 bolts to put it together. I put a 5HP Briggs on my. I take it everywhere, camping, hunting and fishing.

Mounting Bow Trolling Motor on V-Hull
I have a V-Hull and would like to mount a bow trolling motor but the plate is too small. I'm thinking about making a base plate using 3/4" plywood wood and bolting it to the rails and mounting the motor to the plywood. Does this sound ok or any other suggestions.

building a deck on a 14' Deep V Lund
I did something similar to my 14ft V. Before I started the deck I made a support for the pedestal to make sure I wasn't going to tip over. 1st I got a 2x2 3/4 piece of plywood and cut it the width of the bench seat, next I attached two 2x4 to the plywood to make a brace. Attached the pedestal to the plywood. Placed this over the bench and took the boat out. No problem with tipping. Now I was ready to begin the deck. This was a few extra steps, but I didn't want to spend time and money and get out on the water and tip over. Hope this helps.

I've got my plans on how to start decking my v-hull. I'm starting just with the floor. I'm going to use 1/2 " plywood and 2 x 2. Does this sound ok or should I use 1 x 1 sq aluminum to make it lighter.
