I have four reels and four rods listed below. Pair the reel with the rod you think it's best suited to. I've given short descriptions of what each rod will mainly be use for. Loomis CBR 843 - Small/medium Crankbaits Loomis CBR 906c - Ripping Traps through grass Loomis MBR 844c - Texas Rig/Jigs Shimano Crucial 7'11" - Flipping Stick Shimano Curado DHSV 7:1 Shimano Curado DHSV 7:1 Shimano Citica 100DSV 6.2:1 Abu Garcia Revo STX 6.4:1

Assuming they were the same price, which would you buy and why? I just purchased a Shimano Crucial 7'11" Flipping Stick and need a reel to pair with it. Thanks, -Rob

I purchased a used but excellent condition mbr844c IMX on ebay this afternoon. $152.50 plus $20 shipping was a heck of a deal so long as it is as the seller described. Thanks for all the replies and I'll be sure to let everyone know how it works out! -Rob

Thanks for the replies. Will either cast a weightless senko or will I need another rod for that?

I'll mainly be fishing in and around grass on the Potomac River with this rod. I already have a flipping set up in mind so I'm trying to decide on a Texas Rig/Jig Rod to compliment it but not overlap too much. What are your thoughts on these two rods? If you have any other suggestions, please feel free to chime in.
