Do you really think anyone who knows him is going to throw him under the bus on your behalf? Pack your lunch...it's gonna be a while.

Exclusive interview with Ike yesterday - Video!
Great interview! I noticed Ike said he has been associated with BR for his entire career. Did he ever post on the boards?

old and washed up...
I guess you wouldn't be interested in my Fat Ikas then. One mans trash is another mans treasure!

Va guys post up!

Favorite lipless crank
Haha...I'm still undecided about them. They look absolutely awesome. I bought one in American Shad. Last year I was throwing into a group of schooling shad and accidently snagged one. When I held them side by size, the resemblance was uncanny. Almost identical in size and profile. The paint job mimicked the snagged shad almost perfectly. With all that said, I've yet to catch anything on it. I will say that I probably haven't given it a fair shake. I switched over to a Red Eye Shad and haven't had a reason to change back yet. I will say the action and subsequently vibration seems less than the Red Eye Shad to me. I'll give it another try this spring before I draw any final conclusions.

YUMS Dancing eel??????
Save your hard earned money.

Autographed rod, should I use it?
Only you can decide. It all depends on how special it is to you...not us.

Line Conditioners
Yeah, I sprayed some on mono and didn't notice any difference either. I don't know what I was expecting since I've never really had any castability problems with mono. Just figured why not. If by chance one day you come to your senses and decide to buy a She-mano baitcasting reel and while your at it decide what the heck, I'm gonna put some Fluoro on this bad boy, I would recommend that you get the KVD.

Line Conditioners
So you don't notice any difference in line memory between mono and fluoro? The first time I ever put PLine Fluoro on my baitcasting setup I took it off after fishing a day with it and swore I would never use the stuff again. The Trilene 100% Fluoro in combination with the KVD line and lure conditioner has been the only exception for me. I honestly don't know how anyone could not tell the difference between Fluoro and Mono. I think line memory has always been an issue with Flouro, it's just that many were willing to sacrifice some performance aspects for other benefits that Fluoro provides. The KVD helps get some of that manageability back.

Does anyone use Trilene 100% flouro
I love it. With the KVD line and lure conditioner, the 15lb. test on my baitcasting setup (Curado 200DHSV and MBR 844 IMX) casts weightless Senkos great.

I need a place to snowbird, GA, AL, LA, MS or FL?
I think Texans like snowbirds even less, didn't get any replies when I asked the same question on the central thread. That's where I would go.

Craziest thing happened to me while fishing today.
If I had a spot where I caught two fish like that at the same time I would probably photoshop the background blue as well. Nice fish!

Flappin for Hawgs again
Very nice fish. What kind of jig?

What real should I get in the range of $100 to $180
Looks like they're sold out of right hand 50MG's. I was just about to pull the trigger on another myself.

Anyone ever used this Spinnerbait?
I trust you as I've seen what can happen first hand. This bait really produced well for me in the spring years ago. I guess it's time to stock up on a few more. I'm glad to here you've had success on the Potomac since that's mainly where I fish.

Anyone ever used this Spinnerbait?
Lunker Lure Triple Rattleback Vibration Spinnerbait http://www.lunkerlure.com/store/product_reviews_info.php?products_id=38&reviews_id=35 Back when I fished golf course ponds in high school and college, I did really well with this spinnerbait in early spring. Bought a couple a few years back but I haven't been able to replicate the success. Just curious if anyone else has used this bait and what your thoughts are.

Dumb Purchases
Ditto on the Ikas! I bought 3 bags of those things, and after a half-dozen attempts, I haven't caught squat. Not even one bite. The fish were there too. After 1+ hours (per trip) of unproductive fishing, switching back to a senko put fish in the boat. I know that other people on bassresource like the Ika, but I'm really starting to think that they suck. Oh yeah, I tried them backwards & forwards. No difference in the bite. Maybe I'll cut one in half (length wise) and see if a "leech Ika" works any better. :-? RIDICULOUS! Fish the Fat Ika EXACTLY where you would fish a Senko and EXACTLY the same way. This bait is simply a different profile with different action. Sometimes the fish prefer the Fat Ika to the Senko, sometimes it's the other way around. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1141053342 8-) I have a couple packs that I tried last year with no luck. Senkos worked great in the same spots. Maybe it's not the bait, but I did quickly lose confidence in it. I'll give another go of it this year.

Do You remember Bill Dance's Craw Crank Bait?
Just my opinion man. Please don't get bent out of shape about it. You're probably right that he's done more than anyone to advance fishing. I understand and agree with that. Hell, I watch his show almost every weekend. I guess that's enough for you to accept the phony promotions. For me it's not. Why not promote products that actually work? Not enough money? Is it really advancing the sport of fishing for the average "Ugly Stick Fisherman" to watch his show and see him catch fish after fish after fish on a lure that you and I know is garbage? With that said, he's definetly not as bad a some of the others. BTW...I only purchase my fishing and hunting equipment based on the experience of people on this and other boards. For the most part you get objective and very helpful information. You can have the last word.

Do You remember Bill Dance's Craw Crank Bait?
Horsecrap. I have had the pleasure to meet and speak with Mr. Dance and will not allow someone to attack him like that. The man has done more than almost anyone to popularize fishing and catch and release. He is a member of the IGFA Hall of Fame. The man is paid to advertise and sell fishing tackle. I'm sorry that's too much for your "fishing integrity" to handle. So you have no problem being deceived by someone as long as they're being paid for it? I work hard for my money and if someone who is supposed to be respected tells me to buy something and it's junk, why should I respect them, regardless of what he's done for the sport? Roland Martin and Hank Parker are two of the biggest sellouts in my opinion. Bill Dance is teetering on the edge.

Strike King's new Sexy Sunfish
I don't think he was referring to your grammar. I think it has more to do with how cynical your posts are.

Lipless crankbaits
This is a "Must Have" 8-) I picked one up on the way home from work yesterday. I don't want to be without any "must haves". I'll compare it to the Red Eye this spring.
-
Flying lures
Haha...there's probably a reason he gave them to you. If the old man pulls out a pack of Helicopter Lures next time, let him know I have a nice plot of swamp land that he might want to invest in.

Lipless crankbaits
I own a Lucky Craft lipless in American Shad and while it is beautiful, it doesn't have the action to justify the price tag. Save your money and buy three Red Eye Shads for the price of the LC.

Revo STX or Curado
I own a new Curado E , 2 Curado DHSV's and a Revo STX. I prefer the Curado's over the Revo. The Curado's are easier for me to cast. They don't seem as finicky as the Revo. Last year I had the Revo STX paried with a Loomis CBR906. This year I decided to replace it with a Citica and move it to my flipping stick. They have very strong drags so I figure it will excel the most in this role for me.
