I'll check out the Rig'n Hook and see how that compares to this hook. My buddy bought the hook in question but can't remember where he got them. He says he usually only buys Gamakatsu but it doesn't appear to be anything they currently make. Hopefully someone else will chime in with the answer.

Maybe that is the Owner. I'm just going to pretend it is because it looks an awful lot like my hook.

Yep! Here ya go: http://www.***.com/descpage-O5139.html Close, but I'm still not convinced. Unless the point on my hook has been bent outwards. The Owner still seems to have the point in line with they eye shank. In fact it says it in the description.

I don't think it's the Monster hook. The eye shank seems longer on the monster hooks. The thing that stands out most about this hook to me is that the point is not in line with the eye shank. For instance if the point of the hook projected a line upwards, it wouldn't be close to the eye of the hook contrary to the hook on the left.

A buddy of mine gave me a hook to use because I was having trouble with my hookups when flipping. My hookups have gone up significantly since switching to this hook. I haven't been able to find the straight shank hooks I want to use so it looks like I'll be using this one for a while. My main flipping bait is a Lake Fork Craw Tube. The hook he gave me is the one on the right of the attached picture with the line attached to it. The hook on the left is a 5/0 Gammy EWG Superline for reference (the hook I was using). I'm assuming it's some sort of Gamakatsu but I'm not positive. Anyone know the answer?

Losing fish is just part of fishing lipless cranks IMO. You can do things to improve your odds for landing fish, but you still will lose some. As my buddy says, you live by them and die by them. Unfortunately for me it seems to be the giants that come unbuttoned, especially during tournaments. I'm still experimenting with different setups to figure out which improvems my catch rate the most. I'll let you know if I ever figure it out. Don't hold your breath!

This is my favorite walk the dog topwater bait. I've caught tons of fish in this lure. I just steady walk it back and wait for the explosion. The only problem with it is the slightest bit of grass or debris on a hook will cause it to lose all action. If you fish water with a lot of grass floating loosely around it could be tough to fish.

I didn't laugh until the above post. I have a nose hair trimmer but it doesn't always do the trick. I sit in my office at work and do the grab and pull method.

I find that a 1/8-1/4oz bullet weight helps me get it down into the grass I fish on the Potomac River. I'm only fishing 4'-6' of water for the most part but sometimes the weightless senko won't get all the way down to the bottom where the bigguns lurk. I've had good success fishing it this way. If the grass gets really thick I'll use something else.

Congrats. Jr has 3 more wins than Shrub in 5 more years of racing at the big boy level. Shrub also had more wins in his first 48 races than JR has had in his first 48 with Hendricks. I didn't say he was a wreck waiting to happen, its just that he's not an elite person to stick behind the wheel. He an average driver, that tends to have a problem figuring out where he gets his car fueled and worked on occasionally. Like I said, he walked into a good thing. He's already proven he's capable of mediocrity.

Micro, XBOX recently changed their stance on that. They should fix it for free now. It has to do with the new mandatory download of the new xbox experience (or whaterver its called) that happened back in November. It's messing up thousands of machines. Mine come up with Error 74 eventually but started off with the dots you described. I also read that they are giving refunds for people who paid them to have it fixed. You might check into it. What you have said is true. But, it is also true that Kyle has matured (in on track racing, not off track antics) and has learned how to win. He schooled everyone last year until the chase started and fell apart. Junior started like a house a fire in his first two or three years then cooled off. You are also correct regarding your assessment of Junior last year. When I see Junior on television, he seems to lack the fire and the passion. For whatever reason. I'm not sure if Junior lacks the fire or not..., I don't know any definitive way to say for sure. It blows my mind that a driver comes along and has one or two good years and people are ready to crown him the best in Nascar. If you give him the best car he will win. If you give another top tier driver the best car, they will win. What makes a driver great isn't what they do with the best car, it's what they do with an average car. Kyle hasn't had to face that much over the last season and a half, but don't worry his time will come again. He's been there before and we all saw what he did...4 wins in 4 seasons with Hendrick. How "special" is that?

Junior has had plenty off success in his career (both Sprint and Nationwide). He still has more career Spritn wins than Kyle. In fact, until last year it wasn't even close. Kyle stumbled into a good thing. He didn't do squat when he was with Hendrick either. So since Juniors teamates cars weren't good that automatically means their cars are just as bad as Juniors? Lost me there. If you saw how loose he was coming off of turn two every lap, you would know he was fighting a really bad setup. His car was so loose that he went to the back on purpose so he wouldn't wreck anyone else. We heard him say that on the scanner. Last year he started the chase in 3rd place. Since then, something has gone drastically wrong with the handling of his car. I'm not an expert, but if in that amount of time the crew chief can't get the car right, it's time to find a new one. Junior has already proven he can drive a car. I'm not saying he's the best or even as good as his dad, but he's not the wreck waiting to happen that you think he his. That's just plain ignorant (shocker).

Kyle didn't have much more success when he was there (HAG). I'm not saying he's not a good driver, but everyone thinks that since he's winning it has everything to do with him. That's just not right. Look at all the success Jeff Gordon had in the past. He's fallen off considerably since his reign. Do you really think he's lost the ability to drive a car? Give me a break. The kid is good but don't get carried away. He has plenty of struggles ahead of him in his career. Just look at his brother.

I'm never suprised to see "stuff" from people who are winning. There are plenty of fair weather fans in every sport. Driving ability is only a small part of winning races. Steve Addington deserves as much if not more credit than Kyle. That's where the real skill in this sport is. Drivers get too much credit and crew chiefs don't get enough.

I have cod4 and WaW as well. I'm pretty darn good and I guess I should be since I spend so much time playing. My XBOX just crapped out on me so I have to send it back. Probably won't be on again for at least a few weeks. I can't wait for Modern Warfare 2 to come out.

Dale Jr. is my favorite. I grew up a fan of #3. I also like Martin Truex Jr. Kyle Bush is a punk.
