I use a gama 4/0 g-lock hook rigged backwards. I cant say i've had any problems with this setup. I think i actually learned it on this board.

dude at basspro told me this this other day, that's why you see these manufacturers like the carrot stik putting foam on it and marketing it as better than cork. i hate foam. it's ok on my kid's equipment and crappie poles.

from what i understood from 1 of the employees was that the stores in my area had stopped getting a lot of items in long before they declared bankruptcy.

the Mend-it glue works great. problem i had was that it dried out pretty quickly. I think the acetone in it evaporated. i kept meaning to try to reconstitute it but never got around to it. Otherwise the stuff is great

most good hooks are chemically sharpened as a last step to get that tiny edge off. That's pretty much the only way to get it that sharp. minus the chemical part, a dremil should get the hooks as sharp as any sharpener.

i was reading some book that talked about how important the lateral line is for fish. I would imagine that this is more important than sight. This would be true for lakes that are so muddy that you cant see 6 inches in front of you, like Arkabutla.

and by setting the hook you've also got a chance of snagging that bluegill. that'll teach em.

did anyone see the new rapala's? http://www.tackletour.com/reviewicast08rapala.html they look great, but it looks like they are trying to get to lucky craft prices.

mend it does a great job with fixing baits. I've pretty much mutilated baits and was able to glue them back together. However it does dry up. I was considering getting some acetone to see if it would liquify the stuff again, but have never gotten around to it.

i've got a cheap berkely and a boga grip and i never use the berkely anymore.
