  1. I am personally a huge fan of night fishing. I have had the most success along rocky bluffs. It seems that during the night, large mouth bass will come up to the rock bluffs to feed on crawfish, minnows, worms, and any other moving creature. I have had the most success with a blue and black twin tail skirtted gub on a football head jig, but pig jigs work equally as well. Cast it as close as possible to shore wait 20 seconds, then begin a slow retrieve, and prepare to have your arm snapped off because they hit hard. Good luck and have fun!!!!!!
  2. It never fails, I've been shut out too many times fishing in February. I will often throw everything in my tackle box out in the lake, and still not come up with a thing. I need some advise from as many people on their secrets with how to catch fish in cold temperaturs on cloudy, windy days. Thanks
  3. In that case, I usually texas rig a red ribbon tailed worm and fish it as slow as possible. However this usually results in you being thuroughly drenched. But I do find that a red worm catches me a lot of fish during the cold weather and during the rain.
  4. St. Louis Missouri again not a lake in sight
  5. I have noticed a lot of changes in how active the fish are when it rains. A lot of times rain brings in a cold front which can effect the activity level of the fish. I often find fishing in the rain a struggle, but there were instances where it was actually better than days where it was dry.
  6. My Grandfather has a new tracker Pro Team 175 (I believe, could be teh 165) with a 50hp Mercury. Fishes extremley stable. I love the room on the front deck. Has nice rod storage, decent stock fish finder, and can move with the 50 horse. The only downside is I would suggest getting a pedestal for the front and rear deck because the stock seat is hard to fish around sometimes.
  7. I need an educated answer to What kind of motor to get for a sixteen foot v bottom bass boat? I am looking for powerful and reliable at an affordable price. I am a big fan of Mercury, but not sure as to what size/brand to look into.
