Name that buzzbait
I believe they mean 4 colors.

Buzzbait weight
Mostly 3/8. Shallow clear water I drop down to 1/4. At night I move up to 1/2 all black. Bigger blades. I always use double bladed baits. Slowest retrieve speed (yes, slower than Cavitron), yet can be burned if needed also.

Identification Help
Post another picture holding the bait by the hook and letting the arms hang down vertically. It almost looks like the arms have different loop sizes and swivels on them. Could be my eyes. Looks like 1 barrel swivel and 1 ball bearing swivel. Cant see the third clear enough.

File a claim and report the seller if you are that P.O.'d.

Name that buzzbait
I own plenty of Hart Beaters (Double Buzzers) and they only have one blade on each side of the head. http://www.harttackle.com/classics.html Might want to keep the search alive.

I'm never buying tackle on ebay again...
If the listing says priority shipping 2-3 days and you are not getting the item(s) until 9 days later, you have a legitimate beef. If you are ticked enough open a case. I had a similar issue recently as I had bought some items that I thought were going to arrive before a trip I had planned. They did not get to me the day before I left so I contacted the seller and was told they had not even shipped yet. needless to say, I was ticked. He offered me a full refund for all the items and that took over a month and a half to resolve. Not until I opened a case with ebay did I get a full refund. Sellers do not want bad feedback and opening a case can be your best weapon for satisfaction. I can honestly say this is the only bad tranaction I have had.

Is One Soft Plastic Brand better than any other?
Beat me to it with the Rage Lizard. Best by far. I'm a sucker for anything new and usually give anything that looks interesting a try. If it works, I buy more. If not it ends up in my "Tackle Shop"

What frog do you use?
Same one I use. I have been trying the phat frog but do not have enough fish on it yet to say I like it better. X3 Phat Frog will probably be my #1 next year. Walks with ease and does not take on water. Can't wait for next spring and summer.

midwest froggin...
This time of year the frogs are getting ready to hibernate. Not so sure a frog is your best lure choice though.

dock etiquette
Very true. In fact, chatting up people on the docks can lead to some very relevant info. I know of at least one lunker winning in our club that came from chatting up two ladies on the dock. "There's a huge fish under our dock. I don't know if its a bass, seems too big. Try and catch it!" It was a bass. 5+. Excellent advice. I have had this happen several times. I have also had people tell me they don't want me catching their "pet". As a homeowner on a lake, I see both sides of the equation. I've pulled enough hooks out of my boat cover or tangled lines with hooks on them from the pier posts to be wary of poor fisherman. Most guys will make every effort possible to get a lure or hook off your boat/pier as I think they realize it could end up being stepped on later. If you do land a bait on or in a boat, the worst thing you can do is yank and try to get it back. Carefully troll up and gently retrieve it. If the homeowner is there and you explain you do not want to harm his property, most times he will understand. Some will come bolting out of their house and run onto the pier and give you a lecture. Just smile and keep going. I have quite a collection of baits that have been broken off in or around my dock.

Which do you think a bass prefers?
^ my mistake.

Sickle Hooks?
I use them for Texposing senkos in weedy cover. Tend to stay a little more weedless. No problems with fish getting off on them.

Who's got crabs? Ford vs. Chevy is easy. Cars- Chevy Trucks- Ford

Need some shakey-head advice
I use Strike King's tour grade football heads, mostly 1/8 oz., and they work great. Try the Shakee Heads from Megastrike. They are great for working real slow. Bait stands up when at rest.

soapy residue on older plastic plugs
All my old trust Bombers do this. Like SPEED said, just gently scrub off. I use plain water and an old toothbrush, (or one of your buddies if he outfishes you). Must be the plastic used.

Bass swimming in pairs?
x2. X3. They are selfish critters. They'll hit a bait just so the other one(s) don't get it. When I see 2 or more cruising the shoreline, I'm pretty confident I can drop a senko in front of them and one of them will grab it. Most times it ends up being the runt though so multiple casts are in order.

Which do you think a bass prefers?
Again, study was done in a tank where the craws probably could not dig burrows. I agree they inhabit weed grown areas as seen in many diving adventures. As soon as I would get near one, he would scoot down his hole. I am not a bass so I can't say which they prefer, I just think shad and baitfish are more available and in more waters. Also, they can run, but they can't hide. Lots of good info in this thread. "Food" for thought.
