  1. Has anyone else tried these yet. I picked up a couple packs of 3/0 and 4/0 for use with plastics and was amazed. We all know Owner are top notch hooks but these are fantastic! Sharp as h*ll, strong as h*ll and they do not pick up the trash that regular ewg worm hooks do which is a big plus if you fish in weedy waters like I do. There is even a rubber keeper you slide up the shank to keep th bait from sliding down the shank. These will be repacing all my gammie and mustad ewg in short order. Great hookup %. The only fish I have not hooked up with took the back half of my senko on the hookset.

I have found these to be among the best out there and reasonable compared to most. Try this. I boil mine fo about 30 seconds. You will definitely notice a difference in the softness. Put on some Chompers garlic scent and hold on. If you can't catch bass with this, you're rigging them wrong. I use the 4.5" and a standard 5/0 gammie supeline ewg hook with a BPS clam weight crimped to the hook in the middle of the bottom exposed portion. Remember- These are the exact same baits as Bass Magic. Get which ever is on sale!

I live and fish in Northern IL. and nothing works better than a 4.5" Shadalicious or Bass magic retrieved slowly along the inside edge of the weedline. Be sure to cast parallel to any docks or boats you might come across. Bass up here seem to inhale this and you rarely miss them. Only problem is when you rear back to set the hook and come up with an empty line. Musky or Pike love these too!
  4. I never use a leader. One more thing to fail when you get that lunker to bite. If water is really clear, try flouro. I use Power Pro for froggin' and buzzbaits and flippin/pitchin in slop. Open water I always go to Flouro.
  5. I really like them- several fish per bait. Great action. Only problem is after a while they start to float.

Sluggo's used to be all I used. Probably caught more fish on that bait than any other. Now they share time with Strike Kings Z-Too and Tiki Stick depending on depth and condition. I bought abought 500 bags of them in shad type colors so hopefully I won't run out.
  8. I use Tiki's almost exclusivley. I find them much better than Senko's. Could be the scent, fallrate slightly ribbed. I like to skip a 5" model under and around boats and docks and Senko's just do not hold up to this kind of fishing. got a 7+ lb. from under a pontoon boat on heavily pressured lake close to Chicago.
