  1. It's usually "Hook up!" with the word "hook" pronounced so that it rhymes with "spook" My favorite guide in Baja says it every time a fish is hooked and it cracks me up.
  2. I've used JB Weld for a lot of automotive and farm equipment over the years and the stuff is magic. It IS NOT magic on my small aluminum boat however. The flexing of the boat keeps cracking the JB Weld and the leak starts again. I found a product called "Marine Goop" from the same folks that brought you "Shoe Goop" and a couple other "Goops". It's rated for marine use and stays flexible. Stopped my leaks no problem.
  3. Do a search for 'Trailer bunk slides' They might help.
  4. My 15 hp Evinrude serial number ends with 15, so maybe.
  5. There's always the Johnson/Evinrude 15 with a 9.9 decal... Any horsepower restricted lakes nearby?
  6. I have a buddy who is a real penny pincher and always goes car shopping on new years eve. He says the sales people are extra helpful and REALLY want to make a sale because its the last day of the year. Might work for boats too. :-/
  7. Anyone out there used one of these? If so, did you like it? I think I want one, but 500 bones could by a lot of other stuff, and I already have a fish finder. (old Eagle-simple and it works) Any feed back would be great. I looked at Cabela's reviews already and they are OK but not great.
  8. I need to replace some floatation foam in my boat too. Any ideas on what we should use?
  9. That looks great. I just joined and have a small Valco v-hull that i'm redoing. So much advice and ideas on here, I wish I'd joined sooner. Thanks for posting so many pics and descriptions!
  10. Try using T-nuts. Search on the internet if you don't know what they are. Use locktite or a similar threadlocking compound to keep the bolts from loosening.
