  1. Thats ok, let him get all the fish in practice then you can do all the catchin when the flag drops for the money. Anyway, better luck next time. It's always good to pratice a little hummility, keeps you honest right?? Never Stop
  2. I fish them both on 6-6 or 7 ft spinning gear but for deeper water I use my casting gear. They are tougher to flip but I pull the boat out of the garage very early spring and practice pitching into a bucket. Neighbors think I'm nuts but if I get under the tree out there I can work different angles and everything. Off course this from a guy who pulls his baits through a bath tub full of water to see how they move and fall ;D Wife thinks I'm nuts too Good luck, Snag
  3. If you can find some pick up a pack of Venom or Zoom Tubes in watermellon/candy color. I use these all year on Erie, Detroit River, St Clair River. They work everywhere for me. Also find some goby baits, always a good choice

  7. Not sure, I have been looking at the different boats. The Rangers are looking good but that new center console Nitro that can seat 4 is something that might help me persuade the wife. I can tell her look dear, it can hold me, you and both kids then once I get it bought I can say I said what???? : ;D

Where do you live in Indiana? We have a club in the NW corner of OH and have some Indiana people in our club. If interested go to wcanglers.com Tight lines, Snag
  9. I know it's a little late but I just made it back to the site. Williams County Anglers is always taking members if anyone is interested. We fish Indiana and Michigan mostly. We have 2- 2 day tournaments and 6 other tournaments. If interested go to wcanglers.com for schedules and any other info. Our first tournament is May 3 rd on Hamilton Lake. We also hold Wednesday Night open tournaments. 3 hour cut throats. That schedule is on the site too. Hook em hard
  10. Yes Popeye, I have a 2000 19' Super Pro with a 175 merc on the back. I love the boat but trying to convince the wife I need a new one. Thats not as easy to do as I was hoping..lol ;D
  11. I first fell in love with bass fishing when I first broke out of my egg and swan off the bed...... Oh wait, sorry. First time I hooked one. I was so excited, had no clue a fish could put up a fight like that. I got him in, un hooked him (that was a trip), threw it back in the water and didn't want to fish for anything else after that. It was love at first bite.. Hook em hard, Snag
  12. The sky is blue because the bass are green. I think I need another beer
  13. Gets me away from work and wife. Do we need more reasons? ;D
  14. Watermellon/Candy 6" Venoms, Watermellon Lizzards, by Reebs and Zoom blue/black powerbait worms 8-)
  15. Never heard of a bass pool. I take it you can't dig a pond in your area? I guess it's no different than me using new baits in the bath tub to check out the action before I actually use them on a lake. My wife just loves it when I do that. NOT. Good luck
  16. The trebel hook thing is exactly why I carry a kit to give myself a stich or two if I need to. Docs say I do nice work. ;D Super glue works well to but make sure you put your fish back in the water or livewell before worring about a little of your own blood. Tight lines, Snag
  17. Been fishing tournaments a long time but this is the first I have heard that. d**n, they take away my plastics I'm gonna be in serious trouble. ;D That will suck worse than spending the day with the wife and in laws (out laws). Guess I better check more on that. Snag
