  1. Interesting . . . I imagine that my reflexes may have slowed a bit. And there's a decent chance that a few young to middle age bass could come & go undetected. But since I prefer to target the Older Slower bass - I think it sort of evens out. So I'm OK with that. A-Jay
  2. Bet that "Coke Seat" started wearing on St Nick's hind parts pretty quick - especially after a few of the Bigger Kids were done with their "lists" . . . . A-Jay
  3. And another one from the archives . . . ~ X2 ~ Spinnerbait bite is a fan favorite. Once I get bit, I keep reeling, and as the rods loads - so do I ! A-Jay

  9. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ During late fall & early spring I fish & have success with both blade baits & Lippless bait. However, during this time, I fish both baits The Same. A simple (and very small) lift & drop. Sometimes on a tight line and sometimes on a totally slack line; depends on what the fish are eating it like at that particular time. A 5/8 or 3/4 oz Silver Buddy Blade Bait and a 3/4 oz Duo Realis G-Fix Vibration Tungsten Lipless bait are two very productive baits for me. However last season the Lipless bait out fished the blade by a wide margin. Here's a brief video where I talk about just that. A-Jay
  10. I hear ya - I did the same thing sort of. I purchased a Frabill replacement rubber net bag - HATED IT ! The bag by itself literally weighs 5 times more than net frame. I'd guess I possess at least average strength and the added weight made one handed solo fish netting extremely difficult. Went back to the original bag & just gave it a little spray - works OK. A-Jay
  11. Not to hi-jack the thread and it might sound a little wacky but spraying the inside of the bag with a light coating of Black Flex Seal really seems to reduce treble hook penetration. It will add a little 'weight', but you honestly don't need a whole lot. A-Jay
  12. Frabill 9510 gets my vote. A-Jay

  15. Yup - Best part about that whole deal is that Mr & Mrs Pawz Pack have a perfect excuse to go romp around in the snow like preschoolers . . . . . . . . A-Jay
  16. Coming down pretty good here right now - at least an inch or more an hour. Routine stuff for the 45th parallel. I'll put up a brief video in a bit for anyone not familiar with what that looks like. As a side not - the 'Heavy snow' isn't actually 'expected until later tonight. A white Christmas is a pretty good bet right about now . . A-Jay
  17. I've got no problem there as it is what it is. Just can't afford to let the Bait Monkey know there's actually a few I've missed or left out . . . . . A-Jay
