Any Online Website To Buy Bulk Lures?
That's how I can afford fishing while being retired. But another website I use is brannans bass shop in Texas. They sure know there bass baits in Texas. Getting some deals are ok but I support our sponcers here too. Everyone has to eat. Overstockedbait is good too, checkout his prices on northern pike and Muskie stuff and on his Yo-zuri line too.

Berkley Cherrywood Casting Rods?
I had a few cherrywoods in spinning and bait casting setups in the past. I still have them. I have a cherrywood that's been my c rig setup for over a decade now. I put a viva spinning reel on it and it's been awesome.

Best Prespawn Baits
I just purchased some river2sea nest robbers(mudbugs). I'm hoping using these will increase my pre spawn, spawn and possibly my post spawn action. I think I kind of hit a wall in recent years were my bass fishing tactics may have peaked or leveled off. It could be my certain spots are pressured more too. It's time to take a different approach, skill up more and plan an attack. I'll keep my ritual of lures I throw but I'll use more New ones and go with more plastics than I normally use. Sometimes we need to kick it up a notch, go to a higher level. Use stuff we don't throw that much. We all hit a wall or a rut at times. This is a time I get stronger and come out of the gate with a plan. Choosing the correct lure, to match the water and lightening conditions and matching it all with the correct presentation to mood of the bass is the key to resume the success or improve on our success we once had. Sometimes I go back to the simple basics and resume. I think we can over think things too. Take the pressure off and just have fun like we were little kids fishing again.

Building The World Record Bass
All I'm after is to break the ct state record of 12#14oz. I know it's out there. A world record bass I really don't think so. I know we have bigger bass than 12# here. If we have them then every state has them too there not being caught because there smart. There very aware to warning noises that are out of the norm. I put a lot of hours to see exactly what we have here. For me catching a PB of 10# was never a goal. I never dreamed of landing a big bass here. Seeing this opened up my thoughts we do have bigger decent bass here. Now how big I'm not sure yet. I'm just going fishing as I always do to challenge the numbers of bass I catch on each trip. I don't get too serious about it, I'm out there having fun. I love throwing new and different lures and practicing different presentations. I'm just having fun. I keep my quest for a new state record on the burner so be it if it happens. It's like a carrot in front of a donkey it gets me out of bed and keeps me going. Texas? Where was the world record bass caught here? Georgia? No matter we're you live, wether you have a boat, or fish from shore, fish hard, fish more often. You just maybe surprised. Get out there in the early am when these bigger gals are near the shoreline feeding before and as the sun rises. Get in the zone and stay motivated. If we want it were going to have to earn it.

Quantum... Why The Hate?
I just purchased two quantum code reds in both ratios. Plus I also picked up a new outdated quantum Bill Dance baitcaster too. I removed the solid brass bushing on the outer side of the spool and replaced it with a ball bearing. Why just for ha, ha' s I wanted to see if I could upgrade it. It is what it is. The quantum were my first decent spinning reels I still have them in my museum.

Confused With Spinnerbaits
Muddy water it's a Mann's 1/4oz gold Colorado blade chartreuse color with a mister twister 4" split double tail grub with a trailer hook. When I change the skirts out I put on a hot chartreuse skirt.

A shot of YUM shad and I'm good to go. I'm not sure why but this Mann's spinnerbaits right out of the package setup up correctly works awesome. Can't find it? Amazon.com

How Would You Fish This Spot?
The bass will be in the north side of the shorelines or coves where the sun shines the most. I also would throw a lizzard split shot rigged. In the bed area.

Harsh Winter's Effect On Small Ponds
When I was told about the winter kill the ice fisherman told me there were bass frozen in the ice as far as you could see. But it's been many years later and I haven't noticed a change in the size of the fish other than it being hammered from people looking for a free meal nowadays. I wish they would get food stamps.

Count Down
The countdown is an average one second rate of fall per 12". Certain lures may vary.

Favorite Baits For Carolina Rigs
I use a light 1/8oz. Carolina rig in the 10' depth or less. I use senkos, brushogs, creature baits mainly. I use a blocker on my brass weight too. I twitch the rod tip up 2" and down 2" as it falls working the knocker. My senko is wacky rigged too.

Please Forgive Me....
I been disabled since 2002. I can't walk too much. My distance I can walk is limited. But my back pain has become worse. I'm going for tests soon. I'm going to refuse any operations until I can't fish at all. This is why I ask questions about tackle because I can't walk in the stores yet. Sorry if I'm a pain. I luckily have some places were I can fish near the car. My bought with prostate cancer is its in remission. I mainly think about bass fishing. The videos are awesome here. This is the best bass sight on the planet. I have been here with Glenn from the very beginning. I've learned alot about bass fishing with lures here too. Thanks for this site Glenn. God bless, bigbill Glenn and the guys here have shown me a lot about bass fishing. I drive up to a crowded place with my son. He throws a Norman thin n in chartreuse killer and I go with a bomber fat A crank in redapplecraw and within minutes of arriving there we both pull out 2 1/2-3# bass. The crowd stares at us.

Any Regrets In Life?
I wish I spent more time with my children instead of working all the time. I should of never worked so hard to save my body and health for retirement. I should of got into bass fishing more serious when I was younger. I should of stayed in the forests logging I was in better shape health wise. The corporate engineering job I hated it but the money was good. I'd rather be broke and happy with my job. After felling trees one day during the light snow I put the saw down and sat on a fresh cut stump and listened to the snow hit the ground. No one has a better workplace than me. Nobody. Having a corporate engineering job I was a blue collar steel worker in a white collar job. I had the corporate benefits the big shots had. The 401k plan was awesome.

Oil Or Grease
Moly also comes in an oil for fishing reels. Trust me in my 50 years of using moly to lube everything it's never failed me yet. Your reel will run smoother, crank easier too.

What's On Your Mind Today, Fishermen?
I have the new ball baits and the river2sea nest robber lures to try. I think the nest robber is going to be the one.
-
Oil Or Grease
Moly it's TS-70 moly at www.tsmoly.com Look in there consumer section. Moly, Eliminates all wear Reduces friction Prevents galling Fights corrosion Doesn't attract dirt Stays where it's applied Your reel will feel tight at first as the only works into the pores of the metal. When it wears in your reel will be smoother.

Remember This Cute Guy???
My lab is dumb sometimes but he's not dumb as he acts. For the misses he listens. For me he gives me that look like what the heck are you saying. You know that slanted head look. But I love him anyway. He's my animal in the yard alarm. One day he sounded off with 24 wild turkeys in my yard. Another afternoon it was 9 deer. I think he wants to hunt.

Harsh Winter's Effect On Small Ponds
It's called a "winter kill" there isn't enough oxygen to support all the fish so nature evens the score. We had it happen to one of my best spots a few years back now it's better than ever. It pays off to remove some smaller bass to eat leaving the bigger bass to spawn.

Shore Fishing Rant ( Fishermans Garbage Left Behind)
I actually learned how to fish for bass in these places. I would hate to lose them. I taught my son's how to use lures there too. It's been a learning place for everyone. Then we branch out to other places using our skills we learned there. I give back by showing others how to use lures. I have no ego I like to see others catch fish too. It's my way of giving back and I hate to lose these places. It's also the testing grounds for trying new lures.

Guy Builds His Own Kenworth Semi Trailer And Truck

Carolina Rig
My c rig, Swivel/ glass bead / brass bullet weight / brass clicker / brass bead / glass bead / Carolina keeper / 24" leader / snap swivel. I have pre rigged brushogs, worms, senko hooks. I can't tie knots that quickly. I snap and Resnap baits quickly. I twitch the plastics as they fall to make the knocker knock . I use a snap swivel on my plastics rod setup. Using the different rigs pre set up saves me time from trying to tie it on. Plus in the low light I can't see the line anyway. The Carolina keeper slides so I can adjust me 24" leader shorter by sliding the keeper towards the hook.
