I have $100 to spend. I found a procyon for $89 with 9 great reviews. Yet at tackle tour it got bad reviews. I may wait for a sale or have to spend more $$$.

I purchased a few hard swimbaits off of eBay.

My new all star pro2 spinning 6' med action rod is really nice. I'd like to upgrade from my okuma, Finor, US reel spinning reels to something better? I seen a daiwa procyon?? It lists for $177 and it's on sale for $107 is it worth it should I look at something else?

I went for an MRI for my back. I can't spell it or say it but my spine is crooked. There suggestion water therapy does that mean fishing? Injections that's using bass scents? I'm a hurting unit the lower back pain is unbearable today. I'm not giving up this bass fishing season no way. I need a back brace? Bigbill

We put those deer whistles on our motorcycles after my son hit a deer. We came close but never hit one again. If my son didn't have the dirt bike experience he wouldn't be here today. He tee boned it, put it up on the handle bars and stopped so it could get off. He never dumped the bike. In a split second he used his body English to offset the balance of the deer. The dirt bike racing experience gave him that quick thinking reaction and knowledge. It saved his life.

Shore fishing is no different than fishing from a boat only backwards. We're limited to the shoreline but let's not tell everyone that's where the bass are anyway. You need to know the structure and depths. That's where the portable cast out fish finder comes in handy. I prefer shore fishing since I have so many different hot spots that are close together. I can gun and run without moving the boat. Within a few minutes I'm fishing again.

Are you down in the delta area? I heard rumors about the spinnerbaits with the yellow skirts being hot there. That yellow color could be hot anywhere I guess. I pro down there gave me this tip. My hottest spinnerbaits is the Mann's classic 1/4oz gold Colorado blades with a blue glimmer skirt with a mister twister 4" white split double tail grub as a trailer with a trailer hook. Add a shot of YUM shad scent and your good to go. Bomber crankbaits size 05 model A or FAT A match the color of your craw's. Natural colors for clear to slightly stained water smaller lures fished faster. Brighter colors for stained water medium sized lures fished slowest. Brightest colors for muddy water the larger sized lures fished the slowest. Using a bass scent and the lure having a rattle is a plus. The lures with the Orange bottoms seem to be hotter here too. Inline spinners like joesflys, mepps and panther Martin's dressed. Rebel pop R in blue. Rapala f7 in blue. I call this lure the "blue max" fish it with a slow even reel or a slow reel with a pause and a twitch. Crankbait colors Redapplecraw Browncraw Dark greencraw w/ Orange bottom Baby bass w/Orange bottom Firetiger Firecraw Silver shad Get in the habit of throwing different colored lures and different lures. I throw a variety of colors and lures till I get action. A carolina rigged senko or brushog, creature baits can be very successful too. It's skill that catches fish not luck. I just purchased a few of these reels to use and a few for parts I one should break. There on eBay. Fishing from shore if these US Reel super casters add some yardage to my present casts I'm golden.

In my beginning of getting into bass fishing seriously I looked into and read everything about bass fishing I could. I wasn't that schooled on bass fishing. We used live bait for trout.But once we were catching bass we were hooked on bass fishing. What's a trout? Bass bait. Have you noticed how much stronger the bass are in rivers?

After a hard rain even in the larger bodies of water the bacteria on the bottom gets stirred up. A nice soft slow rain is when the fishing is better. Bass in rivers love the smaller rebel crawfish crankbait. Also a panther Martin spinfly. I let lures float there way around the rocks that stick out of the water. Some pools are deeper and I seen them hold up to 3# bass. I haven't spent much time bass river fishing. But I had success in the little time I fished there. Btw, KVD Has a combo c lector in his boat for tough days rumor has it. The combo c lector tells the PH, water temp and selects the lure color combinations that are best seen for the water conditions. I have two of these combo c lectors. One I've used and tested and one is still brand new. I'm not sure if the modern updated high tech color selector tells us the PH and water temp. I think it just tells us the color choice. I'd like to get a new one soon.

To me from shore a 1/8oz Carolina rig rocks with plastics. I don't throw that much large stuff. Smaller 1/8 & 1/4oz spinnerbaits. Average 2" cranks.
