Where have you been, I miss you sarcasm.    "Secret Lures" is just a spoof to get attention. None of these are  secret and I have posted reports of success on every one of them over the years or s

  • Top secret lure? That's all the lures in my tackle boxes that catches fish. Secret? No way Wal-Mart has them, dicks sporting goods has them, so does BPS and Cabelas too. Just pick one and practice

Square bill: xcalibur XCS 200 foxy shad

Lipless: xcalibur xr75

Spinnerbait: simple double willow leaf blade strike king pro

Jerkbait: rapala x-rap

Topwater- Booyah pad Crasher (cheap and reliable)

Swimbait: havoc beat shad by mike iconelli

Plastics: havoc Pitt boss and zoom super flukes

Not all of my favorites but a good amount

Rapala Shallow Shad Rap 07 in Silver/Black. If you can find them in that Gold/Black metallic color that's been discontinued for a while, even better.

Mepps Black Fury #5 in Yellow. Orange also works.

Lucky Craft Sammy 105 in Crack Blue. That Chartreuse belly drives 'em wild!

shallow crank - kvd 2.5 orange belly craw color

deep crank - norman dd22 - splatterback

jerkbait - xrap - size 10

topwater - koppers mouse

frog - koppers frog or scum frog, usually black

spinnerbait - strike king baby burner

paddle tail swimbait, typically fished as a trailer - powerteam lures swinging hammer in white

jig - seibert heads, my own skirts

finesse worm - elaztech strike king finesse, dirt color

senko style bait - strike king ocho

craws - rage tail and or paca - colors vary

scent - three way tie between bang shad, strike king coffee and megastrike, i really wish megastrike had a coffee scent

shakey head - usually seibert but sometimes shakeE2

Secret weapon - blue fox inline spinner

My secret weapons are 4" gycb cut tails, super fluke Jr's and roboworm alive shad and straight tails. If I can't get bit on any of those, the fish arnt there.

And even though they are small finesse baits, I've caught the most and my biggest bass and peacocks on these.

If you can find them in a decent color, Wave Worm's Tiki Snake is a crazy good bait.  A fat bodied worm with a curly tail, it came in a 6 inch version. I have horded about 6 bags or so, most of them have be pieced back together with Mend It. They keep producing.

4" hot pepper frog stick for me, along with watermelon magic sticks.........

I wish I had something secret to share, but my consistent producers are ribbon tail worms and beavers. This spring has had me fishing small lizards and that's the only thing I've caught fish on so far this year. Spring fishing has me scratching my head.

a carolina rigged Jitterbug.

Do what now? The hard bait jitterbug?

Don't remember the name of the color off the top of my head, but the original Zara spook black with the white markings on it like ribs. Also any topwater with an orange dot on the bottom of it

Do what now? The hard bait jitterbug?

Ya man, it works. Just make sure its the pink colored one.

I swear to you guys, I don't have a secret lure, I'm pretty much conventional.

Was Northstar a "Top Secret" jig 2 months ago?

a carolina rigged Jitterbug.

There ya go stealing my lines again.

Honest to goodness bait that I have never, ever mentioned anywhere, to anyone previously.  Gene Larew Mega Ring Tube.  More fish have been caught in clutch situations for me than with anything else.  I have one tied on from ice out to ice up.

Lol sorry everytime someone asks me irl what I'm using, I always refer back to the c rigged hula popper.

Furbit - I tell folks about it now that I no longer fish tournaments - people have a difficult time understanding it is much more than a frog bait - much more. But you gotta believe.

Don't have any secret baits, just secret spots.

Many of which are obvious and in plain site.

However, when visited under the cover of darkness, yield very worthy results.

Early in the year, a Rapala Subwalk can be very good. (During the day of course).
