Since the bite can slow down at times it could be a color change as to why it happens. If this happens with crankbaits and inline spinners why not with jigs too. I read somewhere that KVD has a combo c lector for tough days on the water. I purchased a few combo c electors and my last purchase was still brand new never used yet. I been collecting them. I have both the color c LECTOR and the combo c LECTOR too. I just find it a piece of fishing history. It did pick the correct color for that time to catch fish when no other color worked. There were days that all the colors worked too. I've seen the frenzy bite be so intense I'd bet they would bite a bare hook. And other times we couldn't buy a bite. I wonder how the new color c LECTOR compares to the older one. If using it can turn around a tough day of fishing than I guess it's worth it. What little time I did test it, the color it picked did work. But I was focusing more and more and being hooked more into bass fishing I was looking for something to expand my knowledge more and faster. Nothing beats the time we spend bass fishing. It is an interesting piece of equipment.

Dr Loren Hill of Ok unv. Proved the bass can only see certain colors sometimes due to the water and light conditions. That's when he invented his color c lector and his combo c lector. When I tested this tool for a few days in the same exact spot at the sametime. I found on certain days the color didn't matter. When the color did matter it was red, or brown, or green that caught fish. One single color caught fish at that time when no other color worked. Seeing the results of my tests has taught me to throw a selection of different colors till I get action.(crankbaits) now with jig colors why should it be any different. If the fish aren't hitting one color we switch to another. But if we read the water condition and it's muddy by the rules We should use a brighter color. This is why I asked Siebert Outdoors if he could make me jigs in chartreuse and some in red. I haven't gone out and proved these brighter colors work yet but my gut feeling is they will work in muddy water. My point is why do some limit themselves to certain colors? I have caught bass on every bomber lure color so far. On my last trip out it was slow and borderline stained/ muddy water. I threw a citrus shad color and had success. Now what about a chartreuse jig in these water conditions. I feel one color may catch a few fish while picking the correct color could load the boat. I just finished a 500rd fire test for reliability and dependability for a brand new 1911 before I can carry it ccw. I used the Russian wolf 45acp ball ammo. I've never had a fail to fire with the new imported ammo yet. In my ccw magnum it's my reloads. The Russian wolf 45acp ball ammo was at onetime $6.67 a box of 50rds. I gave one of my buddies some Russian Barnaul 223 soft point ammo for his son to hunt deer with. It turned out to be more accurate than a named brand ammo made here. I knew the Russian barnaul ammo was the most accurate of the other imported ammo but I didn't think it would be more accurate than our ammo here. The lad got himself a nice deer too. I think the worst ammo for click, click is the 22 rimfire ammo. I don't think the primer material goes completely around the rim. When we just get a click if we turn the bullet and fire it again it goes bang most of the time. There is a few rimfire manufacturers who are having fail to fire problems.

I have shoulder holsters for 6"/6.5", 7.5" & 10 1/2" barrels. Love those redhawks. Yup I see more deer when fishing than during the hunting season. I have no clue how they know it's hunting season but they do.

Since I fish with just about ever color in crankbaits and have had success. My question is why do we limit ourselves to certain jig colors? Doesn't the same color rules that apply to the different water conditions with using crankbaits also apply to the color of the jigs were using too? Why are we limited? Clear water it's natural colors fished faster, in stained water it's a combination of natural & bright colors fished slower, in muddy water it's the brightest colors fished the slowest. Doesn't this also apply to jigs too? Or do the rules and standards change when we use jigs. It's it we've always done it this way so we keep on doing it this way over and over without making changes. I don't understand why we limit our jig colors. Don't we read the water conditions when using jigs? Has anyone purchased the newly developed color selector yet? This would be very interesting when lowered to the bottom to see what color it would choose.

I just purchased a few pipes. I bought a six pack of Captain Black Cherry Blend. It's been a long time since I lit off this stuff I'm glad my old blend stayed the same. What's up with there eco friendly pipes. I just ordered a new solid wood one I can break in. I'm just old school. On my next doctor visit I'll get the good stuff to smoke for pain. Ruger just took off the redhawks off there website. Now maybe the time to get the revolver you always wanted. S&W took the m58 & m24' off there website too it seems there dropping some revolvers too. I would suggest a s&w nickel finish revolver in the N Frame. I guess the plastic pistols are surpassing the revolver sales.

The Rebel BIG CLAW crawfish crankbait in chartreuse that dives 10' since it floats you can adjust your reel speed to run it from the topwater action to bouncing it off the bottom at 10'. I cast it out sweep the rod back and game on when it hits the bottom. I just reel it slow when it's down. This is one hot lure.

I have noticed the 10" & 12" culprits do load the rod a tad. Before I upgraded to a stiffer plastics rod. I have a gutt feeling if the rod can just handle the added weight of the larger worm how is it going to handle the bigger bass that bigger bait is going to catch?

I set it by the feel of the pull on the edge the fine line between wether it gives or not, so when Moby bass makes a super violent strike she won't break my line. If she does the handshake move the drag will give. If I play the fish correctly I never hear the drag. I like it set like right on the edge so when I hear the drag I know she's a big heavy one. I don't wear out drags we don't need them set that light. I/we shouldn't be wearing out the drag friction plates that fast or that easy unless we're fishing on the freeway for those fish on wheels. I haven't landed one of those yet. Just kidding but I see the replacement friction plates for the drags for sale so much maybe my drag is set wrong because I never wore out any plates yet.

I love my kindle fire HD spell check so much it's going with me shooting clays with my 12ga. I think there getting past what we really need with puters.

I upgraded my line and purchased better quality reels first my biggest mistake I did change out the rods too. I think we have to do all three. If your reels are decent I'd go for the rod upgrade. You know Christmas in coming. The correct action / power to the lure equals hook setting power.

These will do for now I think my search for a decent rod is over. I think I can comfortably fish with the lews rods.

I probably have about 9 new spinning rod setups. And 12 New casting setups. I fish from shore and hope to get a boat or two in the spring. I fish with five rod setups from shore now. My excellent condition older equipment will go to the gal I met during my radiation who takes kids fishing. Some I may sell here.

On the 5'6" Lite rod I just put a US Reel Super Caster 180 reel on it. I'll try it soon. There saying snow next week I hope there wrong.
