I know that they're all a different weight, but I think that they're all around the same weight. I mainly use the NetBait C-Mac worms, but ol' monsters and power worms are in the mix as well. Any way, I usually fish them with a 3/16 ounce bullet weight and I noticed that they load my rod really well. I was just wondering how much do these worms actually weigh? 

Pbizzle, if I was not stuck downstairs from a knee replacement I would go upstairs to my man cave and weight a few for you.

 

May I suggest you consider purchasing a scale that can weigh all of your tackle?

 

You will be surprised as to how many times you will use it, especially when weighing weights and jigs.

 

I purchased a great scale from Sur La Table. I let my wife use it every now and then with the understanding that it is mine.

i wouldn't pay too much attention to the weight b/c ur t-rigging with a bullet.

i fish alot of weightless soft plastics and so i'm very aware of the rate of fall b/c some days the fish want it fast, some days slow.

the profile has a lot to do with the rate of fall.

your t-rig weighted 10" worm probably has a similar fall rate as a weightless 6" senko bc the senko sinks like a torpedo. where a 10" ribbon is really a skinny 4" worm with a 6" ribbon that falls very slow weightless

Between 1/4 oz to 1/2 oz depending on tail type, ribbon is lighter.

I don't mean to be rude, but I have a hard time believing that a 6" senko is only 1/16.

 

Its interesting to know what this stuff actually weighs. I know some guys that throw that magnum ol monster alot in tennessee and that thing is huge.

I haven't thrown the magnum ol' monster but I do have some 12" power worms, and I'm almost afraid that I'm overloading my rod with those. Same about the 5" chigger craws.

I'll pull some out and weigh them on my digital scale when I get home.

Why don't you email the manufacturers and ask them? I'm sure they'd be happy to supply that information to you.

I have noticed the 10" & 12" culprits do load the rod a tad. Before I upgraded to a stiffer plastics rod. I have a gutt feeling if the rod can just handle the added weight of the larger worm how is it going to handle the bigger bass that bigger bait is going to catch?

I didn't say anything about not believing your answer.   An average weight would be a good idea if this was for anything important.  I weighed several Ol Monsters and they were all a little different.

Yeah, not even close, but that's obvious if you've ever casted one.

weighing worms on the moon are we? No way no how. You are saying 32 worms or 16 senkos weigh 1 OZ? Don't get into drug dealing...

SK RageTail 10" Thumper weighs 15.368 grams & .54205 ounce.

 Go to Harbor Freight if you have one in your area and buy a cheap scale.  I bought one a few years ago to weigh ancient coins and I've discovered it comes in handy when I want to weigh lures.  Actually, I've used much more weighing lures than anything else.  Throw on your plastic, hook, bullet weight and get the total weight!
