I've heard a lot of people doing this. BUT, check with your local game and fish first, you might even have to get a permit to do so.

Well, if the law is C n R.... try your best to keep the damage at a minimum and realease the fish. Even though at times killing the fish might me the more humane thing to do, the law is the law.

We've all gut hooked a fish. When they are bleeding like that, most of the time they will die after you release them. When I get a bleeder, I usually harvest the fish.

Since everyone here is not going to buy a new boat when they hit the lotto.... could you hook a little kid up

I believe this has been posted several times. I think they said that the bandwidth coun't support the large activity of the forums....But for some reason, BassResource.com has been very, VERY fast for me the past few weeks

But what If you're using spinning tackle with the anti-reverse turned off for some reason... The reel just makes this buzzy noise and whoops, there's all of my line in a giant mess >

Does almost every bite you get seem to happen right after a friend asks you a question, or you lay your rod down to reach into the cooler... The situations are endless. Sometimes the fish will totally swallow the bait and get gut hooked (BAD), but most the time I end up completely missing them (bad, but better than a gut hook). Am I the only one the bass are messing with? :-?
