Allatooner, been thinking about doing the same think with the same rod. Once and a while on the spur of the moment I want to hop in my car and run to the water somewhere. Or sometimes someone calls and says lets go. Not always taking the truck and boat. I think that's the perfect rod for me to do just that. Every time I stop at the local GM to check, all they have is m/m. Gonna have to just order one.

A friends young one was in the hospital yrs ago. Asked him what I could bring him when I went to visist. He told me that the boy loved SBR. He lit up like a Xmas tree when I walked in with a commercial 1 gal. jar.

Two weeks ago on my local waters a woman with ms fell off a pontoon, and her friend jumped in and helped her back aboard. When all was thought to be well, it was realized that her friend never surfaced. He was recovered a day or two later. Not to try and be a downer, but it still bothers me. Again, I'm glad to hear you and your son are safe. Tackle can be replaced. You can't.

northern and bass- Mepps #3 french spinner, a couple of rapalas, daredevil spoons, any spinner baits. panfish, crappie- hook and bopper w/ live bait, small 1" twister tails 24" under a bobber and retrieve slow. Just kind of work it from there. As was said, many topics here on lures and techniques. Do a search here in the forum. You'll find tons. If you know the fish are there, you'll figure out how to drag 'em out. Goodluck.

I have a cheap locator on the pontoon and put a motorcycle battery to it. Have the battery strapped down in the steering console storage. Works fine.

I'm not even sure Nitro. Mine are old. 25-30 yrs. The 2 that I fish most, when I do fish them are perch and frog. I also have a white one with a red hood. Would like a black one, but can't find and don't want to ruin any of these. Found them at Cabels's. Much shorter than the ones I have. 2 lengths, longest being 2 3/4". The ones I throw are 4"
