Can't say about the rod, but double check the serial number on the reel, it don't seem right.

As a kid with an aquarium, I kept two of them; they supposedly helped keep the tank clean of algae. They seemed to be more of a goldbricker fish than anything though, just sat there lookin' ugly. ;D Nice catch in the first pic.

Don't see the difference? One is mechanical and being used to get to where they want to fish. The brush piles are an enticement for fish; that's a big difference. Both are advantages but from different angles. Whether either is right or wrong; I can't make an argument because I don't tournament fish but figuring out a way to get to the fish seems to be fair play.
