  3. Thanks, Yep, same area I always fish. They have made me fall in love with fishing the early season despite the tough conditions, right now I'm surrounded by dinks and buck bass and can't even break 2lb... lol. If I catch one now that weighs 1lb+ it's considered a "nice one". WolfyBrandon
  4. Which size? one is 4.8'' the other is 3.8''. I'm Planning on using the 4.8'' on Chatterbaits, and the 3.8'' on Swim Jigs.

  6. My best Largemouth & Smallmouth so far (May 22, 2015) of 2015. LM: 6lb 10oz - 23'' (April 13, 2015) SM: 4lb 02oz - 19 & 1/2'' (May 21, 2015) As for the loss, I was fishing a buzzbait one evening and saw a huge surface strike near a dock, so I tossed the buzzbait around it with no results. I then changed to a Excalibur Spittin Image and after fishing with it for a few min a ~4-5lb Largemouth came up from the depths and nailed it... but sadly didn't get hooked up. WolfyBrandon
  7. If you haven't seen, or wish to re-watch the 2015 Bassmaster Classic Championship Sunday Weigh-In, I found a good video that shows the highlights. (Super Six Weigh-In Starts at 9m 36s) Enjoy, WolfyBrandon

  9. Nice fish, what baits did you use?
  10. Water Temp: ~60F Water Clarity: ~10ft Weeds: Minimal with Green Slime on the bottom. Fishing Depth: <10ft Last month (April) I was catching some good smallmouth with the average weight around 3lb on a Bladed California Swim Jig. Recently (May) the largest has been just over 2lb. The majority of the most recent fish I caught have been on a Fish Head Spin + Fluke. A few fish came on a Clackin' Rap, and others on a Brown Jig & also a Brown Tube. WolfyBrandon
  11. I really considered keeping this to myself, but instead I will share with you all... May 04, 2015 - - - - - May 05, 2015 Bait Fish 01 Fish 02 Fish 03 Fish 04 Fish 05 (Largest) Fish 05 (Largest) Pose I Approve Of This Bait. Credit: Enjoy, WolfyBrandon
  12. Currently I have retired the Bladed California Swim Jig (Strike King Pure Poison + 4.8'' Keitech) that caught my personal best. (It hangs from the ceiling in my bedroom) I have others rigged up that I'm currently using, but I find it nice preserving the actual bait that caught my best fish. WolfyBrandon
  13. April 15, 2015 5" YUM Dinger (Watermelon Red Flake) I wouldn't go as far as saying I or the fish love them... but they seem to work. (This is my first year fishing a Senko Type bait). Do you fish pressured waters? WolfyBrandon
  14. I would be setting up my new Baitcaster tonight, but sadly every left handed Abu Garcia Orra SX (including the display model) was sold out (there was 5 of them just a few days ago!). Just a warning to be careful with what you post in this thread, and if it's not to much to ask to whoever out there bought them, please leave me one next time. WolfyBrandon
  15. New Addition To The Family... To others this combo might not seem like much, but to me it's beautiful. The Shimano Convergence Rod is a personal favorite of mine, I love it's parabolic bend and the sensitivity of the IM-7 graphite. Personally for under $100, I feel it is a very high quality rod for the money provided you take care of it. Years ago I purchased my very first baitcaster (Abu Garcia Revo STX) to learn on. Now that I am proficient enough with a baitcaster for it to be my go-to reel, I have finally purchased my second one. The Abu Garcia Orra 2 SX has good reviews and seems like a solid reel for the money. I have yet to try it out and test it, but it feels amazing in the hand and operates very smoothly. Provided there isn't any hidden surprises, I'm sure I will fall in love with it. WolfyBrandon
  16. It's still a bit early for my area, the grass hasn't grown up yet however I have noticed the frog activity increasing. When I got home today I found this little guy... It has me interested to try a topwater frog and see what happens. If the frog activity is up to where I about stepped on one, its possible the fish could really be feeding on them. WolfyBrandon
