  1. I just received my Loomis GLX BCR853 in the mail and I'm just curious is the guide on the tip (very end of the rod) supposed to be a recoil guide because mine isn't it looks to be an aconite.
  2. I haven't noticed any difference and i'm usually pretty messy with the super glue. ;D

my two fav colors put into one! ;D
  4. the luck-e-strike version uses gammys too.
  5. which is?
  6. Anyone ever use the Luck-E Strike Perferct Worm Rig? It's pretty much a EWG with a bullet on the front. i bought a pack 3/16oz 4/o hook. I'm pairing it up with a NetBait T-Mac worm in the Texas Craw color. I wont be using it till next season because the fishing season up here is over. but just wondering if anyone else ever uses the hooks and what else you put on them.
  7. imagine where a crayfish usually lives and hangs out. now imagine how it moves around in it's hang out area. now put your jig in that area and make it do the things a crayfish would do. structure is usually good, a stump or a rock or a downed tree.
  8. agreed, i'm really diggin' that color scheme!
  9. RW you just named off my entire arsenal! 1) Casting 7ft MH F for spinner baits 2) casting 7ft MH XF for jigs/carolina 3) casting 7ft M M for cranks 4) spinning 7ft M XF for weightless plastics
  10. I don't have many Rapalas, but the ones I do have don't have the SS hooks. They seem decent if the fish are short striking your crank. But like the guy above me said it'll probably add to the likely hood of getting caught up.
  11. braid offers a lot more sensitivity over mono, i'm sure you'll feel the difference.

what size do you guys use?
  13. briad has no stretch, thus if theres any sudden stop or too much tension builds up suddenly it will snap. i used to lose alot of lures the same way when i first started with braid, it's all in the way you cast. whats the specs on your rod?
  14. Most people i've seen fish them weightless similar to a senko. i sometimes add a small bullet weight when i want the worm to sink faster or if i want it to slide through some vegetation. chubaka i'll show you my new rod later on msn.
  15. toasted whole grain wheat bread with no butter creamy non-fat peanut butter sugar free grape jelly sliced up banana :)

  17. Wow, this bait brings back some of my best fishing memories. Back in June of '94, '95 and '96 my Dad, 2 brothers and I took 3 consecutive trips to Ontario several hours north of Lake Nipigon, which is N. of Lake Superior, in an extended cab truck w/ three tents, a john boat, 2 cans of Fix-a-Flat, and a chain saw. We couldn't afford a fancy outfitter to fly us in, and back then it was still legal to get access without one, so we got a hold of some old gov't logging maps and found a way to drive via abandoned dirt trails 10 hours beyond the last paved road somewhere north of Jellico. We camped on Crown land next to the water in tents for 6 days / 6 nights accompanied by one porcupine, 78 million black flies and 42 million mosquitoes. Needless to say, the walleye were nothing short of astounding. At the end of those trips, and I won't admit on this forum just how many were caught, (many released, most consumed) the Storm crankbaits we picked up in MI on the drive up looked exactly like this guy. I still have those baits - every tooth mark, scratch and scrape take me back to that campsite a little bit. Sorry for the long post, seeing that ole crank kind of hit a soft spot. i still have 2 chartreuse crankbaits that my dad bought me back in 96, they're stashed away int he closet. ones chewed up by a northern and the other one is mint.
