Zoff, no didn't see the schools of bass i was just mainly cruising the dam area. It was my brothers 1st time out on the lake and i wanted to show him dam side bf we headed back in. He was amazed as we just looked down into water at a idle speed as we coasted along the main lake banks near dam. He could not believe how deep/clear it was! We did see some birds crashing the water near rt 122 but as soon as we got with in 100yrds of them the birds stopped. I can see how that lake could be hard to fish when the sun is straight up and water is calm bc its so clear.

We were also out at SML yesterday fished around Lucky island caught couple decent bass on drop-shot...all around the smaller island we seen large females both smallie and large staging looking for nest spots as they would just circle a 6ft radius, but have not made beds yet from what i could tell. They would not bite either we stayed for a while trying to get one to bite...no interest! We went to dam area water was a clear blue and could easily see 15ft down if not more in some spots, amazing! Then we went back to some back coves near rt 122...nice day on the water...wind picked up on main lake pretty good. We ended up with handful of bass...nothing picture worthy. Didn't get to hang no smallies or stripers. Just awesome to be out on this lake was best part!

lizard,senko,fluke, 7'' worms have produced some larger fish for me...also wacky rigging a worm on dropshot has paid off too!

awesome! these are all new spots for me , i haven't been to this part of the lake yet but really i haven't been to lake just to fish most times it has been pleasure boating. During all my trips pleasure boating i have always seen good fish and always told my self i need to come back just to fish and leave the women at home! So that's what im doing!! Anyways are these spots gonna be rocky? flats? drop offs? structure? I wont have much for electronics, this boat says it comes with depth finder but im sure its a cheapo. As long as i can get depths out of it i should be good. Thanks again for your guys input...trying to make as much out of this one day trip as possible on this big lake!

Yes that's what makes internet shopping hard...unless you have used the items and know what it is your looking for. I like ordering online but only the things i know, other items i have to see in store in person.

Not talking hollow body, but soft plastic type frogs like ribbits,cane toad,horny toad,etc...which is your fav? I have had decent luck with the ribbits but i haven't tried many others.
