  1. Chris you beat me to it. +1 on Bandits, Norman, Bomber, Wiggle Warts, Speed Traps, and Rapala.
  2. I will p/u a bag of these on my next order.
  3. I believe I used the same hook, Gammy Finesse Wide Gap 1/0. This was the recommendation of Huskybass from a few years back. I will have to give it another try.
  4. Nose hooking makes the fluke dive head first and faster. Are you guys working it faster to keep it from diving head first?
  5. I will probably keep these hooks in my bag but not for Trick Worms as the heads are tapered.
  6. Yes, very good.
  7. I like these hooks for small plastics. The keeper holds plastics well but also tears the worm at the tip after nearly every fish. I use these for small worms like Trick and Roboworms but might go back to a regular thin wire worm hook. Any recommendations? Lou
  8. Last year the TW Memorial Day sale was 15 percent. BTD offered 20 percent. I can't remember the others.
  9. Bass Tackle Depot has a sale as well, 15% off.
  10. thanks for letting us know.
  11. I think Mend-it is a good product. I have repaired countless baits with it. I repair my baits when I get home and let them out-gas before I use them. Mega Strike is a good product as well.
  12. I have also been looking for alternatives since Tru Tungsten went out of business. The most recent newsletter of another site has an ad for Picasso Tungsten Weights. It says they are the same weights as the old Tru Tungsten. The Picasso weights are new and that is all I know. Lou
  13. Check ebay, I bought one there last year. Also check the for sale section of the forums.
  14. My mistake, thanks.
  15. I don't think they will price match TW. I went through this a years years back. They will only price match if the other retailer has a physical address. TW is online only.
  16. I like these a lot. The profile matches a small bream. I like bull bream, red ear, and the usual shad colors. Use them any where you would use a shallow flat-sided crank but I like other cranks for cold water. I change out the stock trebles. Lou
  17. Thanks, I saw them tonight when I went to Dicks. Size 5 is difficult to find.
  18. What does everyone use to replace size 5 trebles on some of the LC baits (like Pointer 100s)?
  19. I like this bait. It has a very realistic profile, good colors, and the prop moves easily. The bait does not have a lot of lateral movement however. Other props, like the Splash Tail, can be walked easily. I like these props better sometimes.
  20. I would call them. I contacted them a few years back when I got a bad batch of line. They sent me a free spool.
  21. Sorry, I don't know. I saw it last year and it re-aired again recently.
  22. In off-colored water he likes to keep his crankbait in constant contact with cover or bottom. In clear water the fish are going to be deeper and closer to the bottom. In these situations he often fishes deeper but above the vegetation with no contact. The key is to keep your bait no more than 4 feet above the vegetation. Instead of making contact to trigger strikes he used a very erratic retrieve. The fish were in the grass but he was able to get them to come out and react to his bait (a few feet above the grass). He said he uses a much faster retrieve and that can be key. He also likes ghost colors (bright conditions) and sexy shad colors (overcast).
  23. I agree that color, wind, and a faster retrieve can be very impt with clear water. A smaller bait and longer casts can help as well. Sometimes I will use spinning gear if I can't enough distance with the wind and small bait. Also, KVD had a nice segment about cranking clear water on an episode of Bass Pros.
  24. No, I lost the Chatterbait. I had to cut the line.
