  1. cBooms, make sure the bait is not bent.
  2. Does acetone thin it out? I need to thin mine out. Any advice is appreciated.
  3. The coating on the flippin weights holds up longer.
  4. Sorry, I should have mentioned that this is not for dropshotting. A guy I know, who is a great fluke fisherman, told me that he nose hooks his flukes when he can. This is for open water or sparse cover. He didn't want to give up the actual hooks he used. I have some of Gammie Finesse Wide Gaps. I was going to use them or buy some Mosquito hooks in the same sizes, 1/0, 2/0. Fivebass, the weedless ones would be a good idea too. Thank you all for replying.
  5. What hook and size for nose-hooking flukes and super flukes? Thanks. Lou
  6. The Little Johns do hang a bit easier. They are not as buoyant as other cranks. It is a nice bait however. Also, maybe try cranking above weed lines until you get a better feel. Stick with it, it will happen for you.
  7. when does everyone favor the split shot rig over the same worm texas rigged with the same size bullet weight?
  8. I would send them back. I am pretty sure they would return them regardless. I like to know how manufacturers handle returns or exchanges in these circumstances. I also think they should throw in an extra bait or something. Several weeks ago I rec'd a split Little John MD. I sent it to Spro. It was still in the original packaging. I wrote a note and did everything they asked. I got my replacement MD 3-4 weeks later. However, they only replaced the bait. No reimbursement for shipping or time spent going to the post office and writing a note.
  9. 1/4 oz w/ single tail grub.
  10. Some flukes are bent because of how they were positioned in the bag. If the fluke still rolls when it is nose hooked then i try to straighten it with hot water or toss it.
  11. Don't sell them until you give them a try in the cooler months. Good luck.
  12. Hi Jason, with only 3 foot of visibility i think you have better options. the Pointer 78 is a great lure but is pretty small and works better in clear water.
  13. I am looking for Junior D's.
  14. store it in the fridge.

Matt, Falcon used to make a V6 and V12 Speedbag for their boxes. You can look for one on ebay or the swap/sell. My V12 will hold 8-9 of the thinner FTO boxes. I have no experience with the current Plano FTO bags. They are on Plano's website if you want to have a look. Lou
  16. I picked up a Buzzjet recently too. I like it as well. I am going to buy another one in the bigger size.
  17. Clear water can be tough. Without any wind I would try a small 1/4 oz popper, sammie 85, or Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed worm on top. Dropshot, shakey head, wacky senko for fishing vertically. With some wind I would add a small buzzbait, fluke/tiny fluke, pointer 78, compact spinnerbait (downsize your willow blades), and finesse crank like Mini SKT in Ghost Minnow. Don't rule out a really fast retrieve when the water is really clear. Longer casts can help too. Deeper water.
  18. For wacky rigging a friend of mine sold me on using a thin wire worm hook (when you can get away with it). It really frees up the worm.

I often find it difficult to determine where the 'edge' is. I fish lakes where the weeds may slowly taper but it covers a vast area. Flipping to every hole in that area would take a week. Plus the area looks totally homogeneous, nothing stands out. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks for the post.
  21. Thanks for the review. I spoke with the owner earlier in the week. I think he said you could secure an anchor w/o modifying it. Maybe give him a call. Thanks again.
  22. KB, that is sweet.
  23. I am interested in the 12 footer as well. I look forward to your review. Thanks.
