  1. Sorry for the upcoming ridiculous newbie questions but I have been thinking about joining the BFL and I'm not quite sure what the steps are. I saw online that the schedule is out and the entry dates are set. I would be a co-angler in the Shenandoah division. Is the entry date the only date that I can register for the tournaments or do I have to get my registration in by the priority date? Am I missing anything? Do I need to register with anything else? I have never fished a tournament before but have watched a number of tournaments on tv. My other question is related to the limit. I know that you can only have 5 fish at the end of the day, but say you catch 5 2lb fish and you are only half way through the day...can you catch a 6th fish that is like 4lbs and replace one of the smaller fish you caught earlier? Thanks in advance
  2. i saw a post where someone mentioned that fairview lake has a private side and a public side. they also said that the public side is the restaurant side. is this true? people won't hassle me there? by restaurant side, i'm assuming thats the area that borders the general dynamics building that also holds 2941? whats the best place to park? what are the good spots on that lake? anybody caught anything there?
  3. thanks guys. i will try the google maps action but for now im going to head back to possum point. anyone had any luck out there lately?
  4. New to the board. Got kinda frustrated as I went out to Fox Lake and Timber Lake only to realize that they are private lakes. I dont own a boat so I'm looking for places that are relatively easy to walk to and fish from the bank, near Oakton or Vienna. Public spots or at least not a place where I will get in trouble for fishing. Thanks!
