  2. Yea what George said.
  3. Ijust spent $65 on a swimbait there's no way I'm throwing with nothing other than braid!
  4. Big-o Stillhouse is an awesome lake. I evacuated there when Katrina hit my home. I lived there for about three months and fished alot. That lake has very good potential for big fish. The bigest I caught was 6 1/2 lbs but there was 2 double digit fish caught during october. Yea when I evacuated I made sure to bring my boat and equipment with me. I couldn't take a chance on loosing any of those. I had some realy good days there fishing the grass further up the lake. I had numbers in the 30's but no giants. The only giants I saw was all the deer on the shore. Man they where every were im talking some big bucks. It was different than the swampland I'm use to looking at. I plan on going back to do some more fishing with my partner later this year. It is a beautiful place and I plan on making trips back there for years to come.
  5. I would have to say a 6" big bite brush hog in the watermelon/chartruese color with a 1/4 oz tungsten weight on 17 lb 100% berkley flouro. This is my go to bait.
  6. I've never thrown a hard swimbait before. Im very green when it comes to these lures. I just bought a Deps swimbait in the perch color. This lure looks awesome on the pics. Is this a good buy? Has anyone had any experience with these lures? Is there any other baits I should look into that are better or produce better fish? Like I said I'm new to this swimbait craze so any info will be great. I plan on using my curado 200 on a 7' medium heavy tas with 80 lb braid. This should do the trick right?
  7. During tournaments anything goes. I don't know if it would've helped or not but you wouldn't have known it either. Its realy a personal call. How do you feel about it?
  8. They look killa. Very awesome work. The second one looks exactly like a bait I just payed $65 for.
  9. This isn't the first time I've done this its just the first time I'm doing it right. I'm making sure that all the peices will work proper and fit right. The last time I did this was with cheap spray paint and the reel had no problems functioning. This time I bought the real good paint and I got special caps to spray them with. Hey d its only about 200 peices it realy ain't that bad. The first time I ever took a reel apart I layed out the peices in order it came off and took pictures as I did it.
  10. A ugly stick of course.(jj) I'm not sure yet im getting into rod building maybe I'll design one around the reel.
  11. I got rained out today at work and I have satalite so tv wasn't an option so I started playing with my tackle. I came up with the bright idea of painting my old curado. Its coming out alot better than I expected. I'm not finished yet I still have some detailing to do and the clear coat. I plan on putting some sort of designes like pin striping, decals or something. Has anybody else ever done this or maybe have some ideas. Well heres a pic of it but remember its not finished
  12. do they have bow fishin in your area? it will take alot of force to ram a stick in the side of a bass.
  13. Man the videos are a tease. What's taking so long with production? There's a big demand for these baits. Strike King needs to get on the ball and tighten up. These products need to hit the shelves I've got fish to catch.
  14. Whays the deal sam your thing says virginia and you surely know alot about the big easy
  15. The Humdinger spinnerbait (chart n white) Is your best bet down here for consistant fish.
  16. D.O.A shrinp under a cork
  17. Use some sort of attractant to get them to hold longer and swallow it.
  18. Awesome job on the new products Steve can't wait to get them wet. Hey how was ICAST hope you didn't loose to much money in vegas?
  19. I agree the vanish is crap. I've had break off problems with it and I throw nothing less than 17 lbs test. It probably will be discontinued like the iron silk. The 100% flouro is way better but at $22 dollars a spool I started to use backing.
  20. Its probably perch. Try waiting till they move with it. You have to feelem out.
  21. Rage tail lures are the next best thing since the jig
  22. Awesome video lbh always a good show. 8-) 8-)

  24. Went out this afternoon for a lil trip and had some sucess. we caught some bass and some nice reds. Those redfish will eat anything, this came off a brush hog.
