  1. I have a TAS thats getting moisture behind the clear coating above the handle and by the guides. Do they have a life time warranty or will allstar cover this?
  2. Just a question i've never known the answer to. On average how often should line be changed? Im a freek about it I change my line monthly. I see people who never change there line. They buy the stuff thats $3 for a thousand yards(bright blue or green) and never pop a fish off and were I fish we catch redfish every trip. I've even asked them how old is there line. Some say 2-3 years old. This drives me crazy. I spend a good bit of money on line. I use 100% flourocarbon(17 lb), xl(15lb), and power pro(65 lb) and I pop off a fish here and there. I don't know this is just a topic me and my buddies talk about. Just thought I'd share.
  3. 7' 6 carrot stix shimano chronarch 20 lb flouro booyah jig watermelon yum chunk watermelon all year any time
  4. Im not new to bass fishing at all. I've been fishing bass since I was a boy with my father. My pb is about 6 lbs. I never weighed it, I didn't feel the need to it wasn't what im lookin for. Let me start by tellin you about my area. Its a series of lakes, bayous, lagoons and ponds. It has tidle flow and a whole lot of grass. The down side to where I fish is that the depth is 4-5 feet at best. It does have some small holes that reach depths of about 12' with no structure down there. The grass grows in so thick that I cant even work the boat in there much less fish it. I know that there are some good hawgs there cuz of the amount of 7 n8 lbers caught each year. The sacks for our tournements usualy around 18-22 lbs. I guess my question would be where would I start to locate hawgs? A what to use?
  5. What are some good rods I should look into?
  6. Which is more important the rod or the reel?
  7. A free one lol.
  8. I was wondering about these $400 and up reels. Is it worth spending that much on a reel or should I be more concerned about the rod in using? I have some pretty decent set ups (2 chronarchs, 2 curadas, 4 pt's, 1 carrot stick and the rest all stars). My carrot stick is by far my most sensetive rod and my all stars (the $120 ones) seem to be the tuff ones. My chronarch, well its a chronarch nothing needs to be said its awesome but I never owned a core or calais. I also never owned a high dollar rod. I've sold all my lower end set ups to start getting quality ones. Is it realy worth the money to make that jump from what i've got alreay?
  9. Just wondering everyones favorite. If I missed any let me know. I have 4 Quantums and 6 Shimanos and 1 of my shimanos was my dads chronarch thats 15 years old and has never been in the shop to be fixed and still works great. So in pulling for Shimano.
  10. one fish is nothing to base anything on.
  11. KVD's pitching to heavy cover
  12. I bought some new line the other day (berkley 100% floro) and I spooled one reel and the line was fine. Then I spooled a second reel off of the same spool and the line had a weird texture to it. Like it had dug into itself. Does this mean that the line is bad?

  16. How long does take for the bass eggs to hatch? How fast do they grow? And the same on the perch. IM trying to find out when to match the hatch.
  17. I have the same boat and had the same problem. Open the plug coming from your motor and there should be two wires in there the other side should have a metal jumper between the two screws. Make sure that its there and the screws are tight. It cost me $60 to learn this from a mechanic.
