  1. I'm really looking forward to it! Be glad to finally meet some guys that I talk with a lot over the forums and phone. Fishing should be at its peak and we should see some big fish caught!!
  2. I'm pumped about going up to Toledo Thursday-Saturday! It's going to be on this week!! Got a club tournament Saturday, sure hoping KKing comes in 2nd! Lol!! I plan on spending a day south and a day around mid lake, then fish Saturday wherever I find fish.
  3. Fished for a couple hours today before heading over to Rayburn. Caught one over 6 and a 2lber. Both on outside grass lines.
  4. Indian creek, cotile, Kincaid? I can't catch a cold on those lakes lol!
  5. K C log cabin is an awesome place to stay if your looking! It's on Dale creek and there is great fishing right there close. It is a little pricey, but it's a beautiful place
  6. Lol...I need to learn ALOT!
  7. When y'all get here the spawn should be in full swing!
  8. All lakes will be somewhat crowded that time of year, but Fork is by far the worst. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've fished in mustang and counted 50 boats in a small area.
  9. Hookn1, I sent you a PM. And I wish I could help out on Kentucky lake, but I've never been there either. Everything I hear though this time of year is to throw a hogfarmers arig in deep water close to spawning flats!
  10. Awesome report and awesome fish Hookn1! I found a lot of fish in 35ft of water scouting Friday, but didn't fish em. Hopefully it was all bass!
  11. Think small and be prepared to fish behind 100 boats. Fork that time of year is super crowded. I've always had my best luck throwing a 4" Grandebass Rattlesnake on a shaky head. Matter of fact, caught my only over on that Rattlesnake. Glade is a great plac to start. Look for roadbeds
  12. I'm different than most. I like heavy jigs. 3/4 oz is light for me as I normally flip a 1-1.5oz jig. For so,e reason I seem to catch more and better fish with a heavy jig vs a light one.
  13. I use both. When I catch a fish, I weigh it and put it on my smarmtcull tags. After getting 5 I'll weigh fish and if they are close I put the 2 on a beam. Beam is more accurate IMO, but a scale will quickly let you know if you need to use the beam or not.
  14. Winners said they caught fish on traps in a ditch with hydrilla. North.
  15. I throw the 3.8 most of the time. As for colors, I throw white trash and sight flash if it's windy, bullfrog and wtml shad if it's slick.
  16. I like the LFT love magic shad a lot. Throw it on a chatterbait or a weighted swim bait hook. Also, the lake fork creature is a pretty good flipping bait.
  17. I vary mine a lot depending on conditions. I throw a rig with bigger blades such as the sk titanium rig early in the year. I do his because I can slow down the retrieve and still have a little extra lift to keep it just off the bottom. I throw it with ri little dippers on the outside arms and a kietech fat swing impact on the middle arm. Once the water hits 58-60 degrees I'll go to a rig with smaller blades such as the flash mob jr because I can retrieve it at a faster pace without the bait lifting as much. I throw it on braid if it is windy and floro when it gets slick. Also, I throw a Picasso finesse rig without blades when it gets slick. I just think with no wind the blades are a little too much.
  18. How is it any different fishing a pile you find a that someone else put out or putting out your own?
  19. I wish it was as easy as a lot of y'all make it. I would drop piles before every tournament and win em all! Guys, just because there is a pile there does NOT mean there will be fish or that you will catch fish.
  20. Guys, if you've never planted piles, then you have no idea. One out of every 50 piles planted will consistently produce fish. And those piles that he is shown putting out will take awhile before fish live in them unless he dropped some willow or bamboo with it that I didn't see. This is absolutely no different than scanning and finding brushpiles, he just strategically placed these. I guarantee the classic will not be won on those piles. He did not put them out in order to catch all of his fish, he simply did it Hopi one pile will hold fish and he would have one more spot to fish out of his 1000 waypoints. Just because you drop a pile doesn't mean fish will come. Go try it for yourself and see. It's a lot more work than it's worth unless you know what your doing.
  21. Yep, seems it was taken down
  22. Texas team trail is out there this Saturday also. So far this year has been strange for me, I've struggled more than I have in a long time. Heading to Rayburn for a few weeks then will be back on Toledo after march 7th.
  23. Good report ToledoGold!
