  1. For me chatterbaits really pick up in the spring and fall. I like to use them fishing in grass on a windy bank. Also, give em a shot at night.
  2. Norman Fat Boy Bandit 200 Bomber Fat Free Shad
  3. So if my math is right...and it always is (lol)...I got a big momma deep cycle with 190 RC. Thats 190 minutes running @ 25 amps. So, 190*25=4750 So 4750 amp/minutes... 4750/60=79.16 amp/hours This was the biggest battery Battery Warehouse carries. My Everstart Maxx from Wal-Mart had 125 amp/hours. Am I missing something? This Big Momma was alot more money too!
  4. Powell also has a great lineup of glass crankin rods.
  5. White is good for two things. 1. Sight Fishing: use white while sight fishing so that you can see your bait. When your bait disappears, you know the fish has it. 2. Shad Imitation: White can also imitate shad. I like to get colored pens and add a little accent to it to make it look more shad-like. Ex: an eye, gills, dot behind the gills, fins, stripes...ect.
  6. I would update your motor because you know it runs. Buying a used "older" motor is scarey business. Have your carbs cleaned, new plugs, new gear lube, new water pump and it should run good.
  7. Go to your Wali-Mart and buy the Everstart Marine batteries. They will run that all day long and its fairly cheap ($70ish).
  8. Its been my best year... I broke my personal best twice...in the same day with a 9 lber and a 10 lb 1oz bass. I've also caught numerous 6 and 7's.
  9. I just bought two new batteries for my boat and Im not real sure how good they are. I have always used EverStart Max Marine batteries and they show the amount of amp hours, such as 130ah. But the new Alliance batteries I jsut bought say nothing about amp hours, but 160 RC. Im not sure what RC means, but I think its Reserve Capacity. Is this the same as amp hours? Will these batteries hold up? Im thinking about bringing them back and finding a battery with amp hours, but would like some insight before I do. Thanks!
  10. Skeeter, Triton, BassCat, Ranger, Stratos, ProGator, Nitro...cant go wrong with these. Gambler, Allison, Bullet, Sterling...thats a no no for kids. These boats are too fast for kids and not really built for fishing comfort.
  11. I shoot the rage 2 blades, but have yall seen the new 2 blade Bloodrunners!! Them things look sweet!
  12. Ya'll scheduled Miami in 2007, not 2010...They sucked then...and TCU...haha! They wouldn't win three games in the SEC. Ever. But I do respect the Sooners...they can play. Bad luck and injuries have plagued them. And Catt...Les does try to establish the run and Im all for it. Heck, when you got the backs and the O-line to do it why not? The problem is how Crowton goes about trying to do it. First problem is his stupid "spread" offense. We averaged like 5 ypc when running out of a "power" formation and like 2 ypc out of the "spread" formations. In the game agianst PSU we were in FG range and we run an option, which has yet to gain a stinkin yard, out of the "spread" to the short side of the field!!!! Dumbest call we could have made. We then throw an inside WR screen to the short side of the field out of the "spread". Loose more yards. Now we out of FG range and screwed ourselves! We need to establish the run, just not Crowton's way. He has done this everywhere he has been. Look at the offensive production at his former schools. He has one or two good years and then everyone figures him out and his production goes down the drain!
  13. I grew up on Zoom plastics and have found no reason to change. I use some Strike King Rage products and some Big Bite Baits, but other than that, its always Zoom. And the Ol' Monster is my personal favorite!
  14. Les Miles has won a National Championship and has the most wins for any LSU coach in 5 years. I already see the arguement of "Saban's players", but I dont care who gottem there, Miles still had to coach em up to win. ANd LSU is always in the top ten recruiting class. Crowton makes DUMB calls!! He lost us the bowl game last year!
  15. I own two Pfleuger Presidents and two Trions and they are awesome. I still say the Trion is the best reel for $100! I saw them on sale for $59 at Cabelas last week too!!
  16. Been shootin my Browning Bow...that thing is SWEET! Put out some corn and a few cameras last week. Jumped two does on my way out there, so that got me excited. Going to check my pictures this weekend. Last year I killed a 10 pt. that scored 165 B&C and he was the 3rd biggest deer we had pictures of, so Im looking for the 200 class daddy this year!
  17. Yeah Sam, I agree. Crowton has Jefferson so scared to throw a int. that he takes sacks. He is more than capable to escape and pick up yards with his legs, but Crowton wants a "pocket" QB. Jefferson isn't one, but he can be explosive if Crowton will allow him to be. To shorten things up...FIRE GARY CROWTON!!
  18. I love to see how narrow minded the human race is. This ALWAYS happens when talking about sports. Your state or city team is THE team and cant be beat. HAHA!!! I say LSU!!! I heard Micheal Ford, the RS Freshman RB, is a BEAST! Also, Jordan Jefferson has another year under his belt and his recievers are top notch with Ruben Randle, Terrance Tolliver, and Russel Shepperd. Defesively we need some people to step up and fill some holes. Do we even have any LB? The DL will be stout, but Im scared to see whats going to be behind em. Also, our Offensive Coordinater SUCKS!!!! Hmmm....go figure, I guess I am human after all.
  19. 1. Rage Craw (wtml./red) 2. Yum F2 Mighty Bug (Junebug) 3. Rage Hawg (Summer Craw) 4. Zoom Ol' Monster (Junebug) 5. 3/8 oz Jig (Green Pumpkin/Red)
  20. No doubt...Dominos with their Philly Cheese Steak Pizza!!
  21. I own the Powell and it is a beast. It is ExFast but fishes more like a Fast Taper. I love it and would recommend it to everyone. I will not buy anything but a Powell for casting rods now.
  22. WOW!! I didn't realize how much I spend until you made me add it up... >. I spent $560 in January at BPS, $390 in May @ TW, and probably another $400 @ my local tackle shop. Thats not counting my 20' Nitro w/200hp Mariner I bought last month for $5,000 and the repairs to it. $250 for a new water pump and gear lube...$260 to rewire the computer chip and oil sensor!! So all in all...IM BROKE!!! P.S.: I still want an HDS-5 Nautics...80 Minn Kota TM...4 new tires for my trailer...a hot foot...a spinning rod and reel...the list NEVER ENDS
  23. I've caught 6,7,and 8lb striper by slipping a peice of a drinking straw over the top of a treble and putting it behind a popping cork. Works great in the river at the locks!
  24. Thanks shootermcbob, I am looking at that as we speak. That is a great deal! And $50 left to spend on tackle...woohooo!! My last question: What sets apart a "cheap" spinning reel and an "expensive" spinning reel? I know they are made of better quality material, but what about ball bearings, drag, ect.? Also why would one cast farther than the next, dont they just free spool and sling a bait? Like I said Im a noob when it comes to spinning tackle... ;D
