  1. What's the difference? I don't see any. the line diameter is the same, they are the same price, and they have more or less the same description.
  2. That's my main reason. Also, they're cheaper.
  3. Just wondering what everybody uses. I, personally, prefer the 360 size.
  4. Okay, I guess that was a stupid question. Just an idea I was thinking about. Sorry for the stupidness.
  5. Anybody got a picture of the "loop knot"? I hear it's great for topwater walkers. I always use an improved clinch. Even for tying 2 lines together. It works great. Just make the knot once with the loop still open, then tie the other one inside the loop like the eye of a hook, and pull tight.
  6. I'm going fishing in Albert Pike this weekend, if any of you know where that is... and I was wondering what is working this year. It's always something different, so I want to know. The first year: Red Balls of Fire (colored salmon eggs) The next year: Powerbait Dough Last year: Power-Eggs This year:???
  7. Rapala also makes the "Clackin' Rap", which is a lipless crankbait. Just sayin'.
  8. What experience have you had with these? Are they any good? I got one for my birthday, and I really have no idea. Looks good though. Kinda like one of my favorites...the Norman Quarterback.
  9. BassShephard: look at the background in the picture. Now, once you've done that, put your hand 14 inches in front of your forehead, palm out. Turn it around, and give your forehead a nice whacking. DUH! No, I was just kidding, it seemed pretty obvious, though. You could also just buy Storm Rattle Tubes.
  10. What about a Shimano Clarus casting rod in 7'6" Heavy Fast? Looks good for 79.99 at TW. Paired with a Quantum Code Red casting reel, it looks like the perfect setup. Together it would cost a little more than 150, but it's probably worth it at 160. What do y'all think?
  11. Did you mean the Tourney Special reel? It is about 50 dollars new. I wanted a 7 to one gear ratio and a Flippin' Stick! Come on, guys! What's good?
  12. What rod and reel would you suggest in this price range? The reel is more important to me than the rod, and I want a 7(something) to one gear ratio. A 7 foot (something) stiff flippin' stick would be nice.
  13. I knew he asked about hard ones, i just wondered what the difference was. Thank's though, SPEEDBEAD!
  14. I see all of you guys talking about the Mattlures Hardgill series, but what about the ultimate bluegills? They look as good or better than those.
  15. Am I the only one who thinks the bandit 700s look really stupid? They may work, but I am not convinced to buy one.
  16. If you're worrying about falling into the lake, try doing it while standing on the rear deck (outside the boat) beside the outboard in 700 feet of water, in four foot seas, while on a fishing boat. Been there, done that. (Heck of a lot better than jumping into the wild blue yonder)
  17. I never used one, but saw them in the catalog this year. You should call them and ask about it. Looked good, but I just never got around to buying it.
  18. There is a search feature in the top right hand corner of the screen. This topic has been discussed before. There was exactly (almost) the same responses. It is here:http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1240265436/0#0
  19. The Red Sox are still better...GO SOX! and...I HATE the Yanks with a passion. ;D
  20. There are some Pinnacle reels at Walmart, and I've never seen them before anywhere else. Are they any good? They're in the 60-70 dollar range.
  21. So how do you use the stick steer? The console pics are more what I was looking for, but it doesn't tell you how to build the mechanisms and such. Any ideas?
  22. Is there a way to make a motor with a tiller steer hook up to a console with a steering wheel in a jon boat? Maybe a tie-rod? Help, please.
  23. Go into your local tackle store, pick a few packages of whatever you think looks good (as long as it's in a natural color like green pumpkin or watermelon) and buy them. They will most likely work either texas-rigged, carolina-rigged, or wacky-rigged. Most of the new designs are as much fisherman catchers as they are fish catchers.
