  1. Thanks. I just registered. Now I just need to catch more fish!
  2. Anyone know how to post more than one picture? Here's another one. Thanks
  3. Went out to my local lake and had a blast! I use this lake to test out different lures and techniques because the waters pretty clear and there are a lot of fish. Here's a breakdown of the last few days: 5lb LMB- Live bluegill/tilapia type fish 5lb LMB- Buzz Frog in white 2.5lb LMB- Buzz Frog in baby bass 2lb LMB- 10" Big Show paddle tail worm ?? Peacock Bass- small Rapala I didnt have a camera or my scale when I caught the peacock bass but I figure it weighed 5-6 lbs. Hit like a train and gave me a very good fight. I think they hit more out of aggression than hunger! Definetly a perk of living in So. Florida! Hopefully I'll have more pics to post soon. Thanks for looking!
  4. Great fish and great pics!
  5. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Cool as hell that you caught it on your own lure!
  6. Wooo, thats a fatty! Nice
  7. In the So.Florida area you have a lot of small lakes and canals you can hit. Keep moving and test out different lures and dont be afraid to throw your lure into the weeds, pads or reeds that usually line the bank. I've been having a blast fishing a small lake in Miami from shore.
  8. Nice leopard! Brings back alot of great memories of fishing the Bay Area. I lived in SF for over 25 years. Go Niners!!
  9. You also have to wonder how long ago the fish in the tanks were fed. A starving fish will probably hit just about anything, and hold on to it. But JF is right, your better off observing the technique and apply that to lures you already know work.
  10. Nice fish! Your little boat is awesome too!!
  11. Thats totally awesome! Your giving your kids a gift that will last forever!
  12. Solid looking fish! Nice
  13. Cool pics! A family vacation is always awesome.
  14. " I have a bad feeling about this one" That doesnt sound good! I still have to get plywood and I'm not looking forward to it. I'm praying this thing makes a right turn. Good luck everyone.
  15. Funny you mention Charlie Moore. I met a kid (maybe 12 years old) at walmart that claims he beat Charlie Moore on his show while bass fishing. According to the kid he beat him so bad that they decided not to air the show. Dont know how true that is but the kid did know alot about bass fishing. I'd like to wup up on Charlie myself!
  16. Totally suks! I know my kid would be really hurt if her rod was stolen. Way to go SenkoShawn! Thats what I love about this forum and most anglers in general. Good looking out!
  17. I agree, 5 - 5.5lbs. Nice Fish!
  18. That really suks! The only time I really think about the dangers of bank fishing is when I'm with my dad. He's not as agile as he used to be so I always make sure we go somewhere safe. He's too proud to tell me he cant make it so I dont put him unsafe situations.
  19. Just finished setting up my new kayak and I'm dying to take it out! Any ideas where I can go in the Miami-Dade area of So. Florida? I'm not very experienced so I was hoping to find a calm lake where I can give it a test run. Thanks
  20. I dont think it will float anything larger than a 3/0, maybe a 4/0.
  21. Sweet! I just got one and am also trying to figure out how to outfit it on the cheap. Cant wait to go out with it. Good luck with your new yak. Post some pics if you can. I need ideas!
  22. Yeah, it was posted in S. Florida. I feel bad for the dude just because I know the gear he lost isnt cheap. Figured I would repost it here to help out.
  23. Looks nice! Seems like an inexpensive way to get started with swimbaits.
  24. Sucks dude! Hope you get your boat back
  25. I probably should have mentioned that I dont have access to the inside of the kayak. It doesnt have any hatches. I ordered some stainless steel screws and was planning on just screwing them on using a washer and some type of glue/sealant but now am debating wether I should use a rivet gun. Do I need access to the inside of the kayak if I use a rivet gun? And, what are well nuts? I appreciate the tips.
