  2. ahh yes tridelphia resevior,,,the enigma of the patuxant rive system,,,I fished its sister lake rocky gourge yesturday and had about the same result,,,the best advise I can give for Tridelphia is to stay off the banks,,,the lake has a very gradual profile. Try to find the drop off in the main channel on main lake,,,its seems weird but everytime I,ve found fish i'm sitting in the middle of no where,,,,a good fishfinder and possibly a gps would be helpfull,,,you color selection in right on,,,but consider black and blue if the green doesnot get ti done,
  3. I too have noticed this in the summer months,,,my theroy is that the fish are most likely suspended and hitting the bait on the fall,,,,I could be wrong just my .02
  4. Well my boat will do a quick 6 miles and hour,(electric outboard) so I guess the sunken trees wont be an issue on a clear day,,,Have you fished the old bridge?

  7. Been growing tired of my usual stomping grounds and wanted to find out more about Conowingo Res. I'm thinking of putting in at Broad creek,,,How is the fishing? Is there much of a current above the dam? Where is the old town located? any info would be great.
  8. Na,,my job sucks too much to get burnt on fishing,,I cherish every moment on the water,,,but if you're burnt take a break,,absence makes the heart grow fonder,,
  9. The power drive units are not bad you just have to take care of the foot pedal,,,treat it as a fish finder,,,store it in a cool dry place ect.....

  12. I've been known to call out work sick when it rains to go fishing. I think barometric pressure is a good base for tactic but a rain or overcast condition has a lot more to do with pattern than barometric pressure. I could be wrong just my $.02
  13. Ok, OK the boats in the driveway, batteries are charging, beer is open and steaks on the grill,,,,the report for this evening,,,,,,water temp is at 80,,,water level dropped about a foot since sunday,,four fish in he boat in 3 1/2 hours,,,,still seems to be a post spawn pattern,,,fish were caught tight in to wood near deeper water. All fish were taken on senkos. largest of the 4 was 2lbs even. As I left I was expecting more until I looked at my log from the same week last year and found it to be a skunker.I'm going out again tomarrow pm. going to try to get further up lake were the water has been warmer longer,,maybe a more agressive feed.I really want to see a pm thunderstorm or shower,,that usually sets Rocky off.

  18. I got a good one,,,,,I did this,,,my local lake has no dock and a very gradual launch ramp,,,in the early spring and fall with the water cold I want to avoid getting my feet wet,,,I would free up about a boat length of strap from my winch and set the clutch so the clicker would engauge when the slack ran out slowing the boat as it floated off the trailer,,,well one day I forgot to open the clutch on the winch,,I backed up rather fast to sling shot the boat off the trailer,,,the boat floats off the trailer as usual the slack tightens,as I wait for the clicking of the winch I here snap!!!!!!!the hook breaks in half sending the reamaining part and the wench strap through the back window of my two week old trail blazer,,,,in addition I had to hitch a ride to go get my boat :-?
  19. ya need to get a speed controller from curtis industries,,,I've built 2 of these systems,,I believe I have and extra speed control,,, hit with a pm if ya need help
  20. Browns Bridge is closed as well on the Gorge,,,Wssc cop told me that last years pull down caused erosion in the areas,,,Tridelphia stills has greenbridge open and the Gorge still has Scotts cove and Supplee open
  21. Yep,,,,did it last week,,,with a 7' heavy action lighting rod,,,,swelling just went down,,,,to add insult to injury the 1/2 oz jig flew out of the water and hit me in the beans,,,lol :'(
