what if i just got a 80lb transom and used my 28lb bow mount for the steering because i cant really aford two 500$ motors? I understand i wont get as much speed but will it still work fine?

so are you saying a 80lb transom and then a 80 in the front?

i am only planning on one tm if i get a 70 lb and then using 2 batteries for the tm and one more possible for the electronics so if i put the elctronics battery in the back would it help from swinging around on me? i also have a28lb transom mount laying around. could i use it with a bigfoot to keep it from trying to coe around on me.

i think i am going to get a 70lb minn kota edge or a used 80lb maxxum so i will have two batteries and maybe a smaller one for elctronics b.c. i am worried about eating up battery. i will be using the motor on its highest speed probably to get where i need to go then it on its lowest speed while fishing. would i benefit from a on board charger? if so what should i get i have seen many that say 2 or 3 bank and different amounts of amps

so i am fishing all electric tourneys this year and need to either get a transom mount motor or a new bowmount my question is if i get a 70lb thrust tm for the bow will i be able to use it to move small distances without making alot of noise and going to fast. my boat is kinda heavy. i have a s*** ton of tackle in it, only 1 battery but i will have 3 mostlikelyif i get a transom moutnt and 2 if i just get a larger bow mount and i have about 2 sheets of plywood on is treated so its a bit heavier and my boat is a 14 ft mod v. i also thought of jsut getting a wind sock or whatever there called and just keep it on when i am moving short distances

yea i was planning on hittting the north fork area hard during prefishing but should i be focusing on fishing plastics since there starting to bed?

you think you got it bad.... i got 3 rods bunch of plano boxes lures a inflatable life jacket rain gear and about 200 dollars in gift cards for tackle. also im fixing up my boat so ill be sitting looking at my boat and all new fishing stuff for a good two months or so untill ice melts...... but atleast i can playwith it for that time :

be able to catch a quality limit in the average trip get first in a tourney fish plastics the way i can crankbaits

if you like copoly try pline cxx xtra stong i think its called its in a greenish package if that helps but i really like it

idk much about this stuff but if water is a good conductor of sound then i think the fish would notice your transducer sending the sonar wave things

i ended up just geting the x96 just because of deal i was getting. i saved 110 dollars so i think it evened out

still waiting for the water to warm back up lol i cant wait until i graduate... ill make it a point to find a college with good lakes around and warm all year round but i still got 3 and a half yrs of high school to go >

On my boat now i have a old lcr 400 or something like that by hummingbird but i want something with more bottom detail. i have two options i can get a lowrance x96 used for 90 bucks or a new hummingbird 565 for 200 now i really like the hummingbird as from what i understand has a 60* beam and the x96 only has a 20* i believe correct me if i am wrong. but i am most wanting good bottom detail so halp me make the decision is the hummingbird worth the extra 110 dollar?

Im not sure if this is the right section for this but does anyone have any suggestions for those cords that attach to your sunglesses and keep them around your neck... i dont know what there called. I am making my christmas list haha so i need help finding the best crainkbait rod to ask for. Ive came across two rods that have caught my eye so far. first is a Daiwa Mike Iaconelli 7'8" med rod and second is a powell 7' med i mostly throw crankbaits similar to a fat free shad. feel free to suggest anything Thank you in advance
